  • Publication number: 20190088132
Abstract: A broadcasting system for an autonomous vehicle is disclosed and includes an antenna, a plurality of sensors, one or more processors, and a memory coupled to the processors. The antenna is configured to send and receive wireless communication, and the antenna receives publically available wireless signals. The sensors are configured to generate signals indicating a real-time velocity and a real-time direction of travel of the autonomous vehicle. The processors are in communication with the antenna and the plurality of sensors. The memory stores data comprising program code that, when executed by the one or more processors, causes the system to receive as input the publically available wireless signals and the signals indicating the real-time velocity and the real-time direction of travel of the autonomous vehicle. The system is further caused to determine a real-time velocity and real-time direction of travel of autonomous vehicle.

  • Patent number: 10107967
Abstract: The fiber array assemblies include an interdigitated signal-fiber array supported on a support substrate and formed by front-end sections of first signal fibers interdigitated with either front-end sections of second signal fibers or spacer fibers. The assemblies also include a fiber pusher device that may comprise glass and first and second ends. The fiber pusher device is disposed so that its first and second ends contact and push against first and second edges of the interdigitated signal-fiber array to remove gaps between adjacent signal fibers. A cover sheet is disposed atop the interdigitated signal-fiber array and covers at least a portion of the fiber pusher device to define a ferrule. A securing material is disposed within a ferrule interior to secure the cover sheet, the interdigitated signal-fiber array and the fiber pusher devices. The fiber array assemblies can be connectorized by adding an interconnect device or the like.

  • Patent number: 9091673
Abstract: Methods of automated meat processing including an end to end processing method in which carcasses are cut into major portions at a first robotic processing station and into minor portions at robotic processing sub-stations. In one processing method carcass portions are acquired by a robotic arm, imaged and then cuts performed without transfer. In another a first series of processing steps are performed by rotating carcass portions through a plurality of processing stations and a second series of processing steps are performed as carcass portions are advanced along a linear conveyor. In another processing method a plurality of clamps are employed to stabilize a saddle section during a flap cut. In another processing method split pins are used to position a saddle section for a vertebrae cut. In another method a spinal cord is removed by applying a pressurized fluid stream against one end of the spinal cord and applying suction at the other end of the spinal cord.

  • Patent number: 8628409
Abstract: A system and method of enhancing shopping search engines and games of chance by permitting the user to search for and locate the prize the user seeks to win or buy, and then playing a game of chance to win the specified item, or going to the web site to buy. The system calculates a dynamic probability of winning the item based on several factors. The system randomly generates a trial outcome of an event trial and an outcome indicator, with the probability of the event trial generating a winning trial outcome corresponding to the calculated probability of winning. The outcome indicator represents either a winning trial outcome or a losing trial outcome. In response to a winning trial outcome, the system purchases the item for the user from the independent third-party retail vendor at no cost to the user.
