Abstract: Disclosed herein are systems and methods for associating communication information with a geographic location-aware contact entry. According to embodiments of the present disclosure, a method may include identifying a geographic location. The method may also include receiving a communication including identification information and originating from the geographic location. Further, the method may include associating the identification information with a contact entry.

Abstract: A system and method for allowing a user to more effectively generate focused content results, including audio and/or video content. Content is dynamically filtered to generate content results in response to initial filtering settings or characteristics. The content results are provided to a user. Once the user finds and selects a content result of interest, additional filtering characteristics associated with the selected result are provided to the user as a suggestion for additional filtering. In this manner, the user is made aware of additional filtering settings or characteristics that can be used to focus the search results. Subsequent filter settings and filtering operations can be based on characteristics of previous relevant results in an iterative and dynamic manner. Focused results are more likely produced, because additional filtering settings are provided and adjusted according to characteristics of results deemed relevant by the user.

Abstract: Systems and methods for position-based loaning of electronic documents to electronic device users are disclosed herein. According to an aspect, a method may include determining a position of an electronic device. The method may also include determining a registration status associated with the electronic device. Further, the method may include communicating a portion of an electronic document to the electronic device based on the position and the registration status.

Abstract: A merged program guide which includes program metadata from a plurality of different media controllers. A first media controller receives program metadata that identifies a first plurality of programs. The first plurality of programs corresponds to a first content package provided by a content provider. A first program record identifying a first program of the first plurality of programs is generated. The first program record includes first program metadata associated with the first program. The first program metadata is transmitted onto a network to make the first program metadata available to a second media controller. The first media controller receives second program metadata associated with a second program of a second plurality of programs which correspond to a second content package associated with the second media controller. The first program metadata and the second program metadata are stored in a program guide on the first media controller.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for facilitating contact or communication between users or participants. A profile matching process is performed to match a user profile of a first user to a user profile of a second user. A number of questions to ask the second user are automatically selected. In addition, an answer to one or more of the questions may be suggested to the second user. The questions and any suggested answers are then sent to the second user at an associated user device. A reward to be revealed to the second user in response to answering the questions may also be provided. A summary of the answers given by the second user may be provided to the first user. In response, the first user may choose to share his or her full or partial user profile, contact information, or the like with the second user.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are systems and methods for navigating electronic texts. According to an aspect, a method may include receiving search criteria for searching an electronic text. Further, the method may include determining text subgroups within the electronic text. The method may also include determining, for each text subgroup, a similarity relationship between the search criteria and the text subgroup. Further, the method may include presenting, for each text subgroup, a graphic representing the similarity relationship between the text subgroup and the search criteria.

Abstract: A system for presenting information identifying a media item associated with a geographic area is disclosed. In one embodiment the system includes a server and a user device. The server receives media item information identifying a media item and location information identifying a geographic location associated with the device at which the media item was interacted with; identifies a second media item played within a geographic area of interest; and provides information identifying the second media item. The user device interacts with the media item; provides information identifying the media item; provides location information identifying a geographic location associated with the device at which the media item was interacted with; receives an identification of a geographic area; receives information that identifies the second media item; and presents the information that identifies the second media item.

Abstract: A computer system, method and program for routing. A router receives a message packet, and in response, the router reads a payload in the message packet to identify an application that sent the message packet or a user of the application that sent the message packet, as identified from the reading of the payload. The router determines a routing path for the message packet based at least in part on the identity of the application that sent the message packet or the user of the application that sent the message packet. The router forwards the message packet to a next hop in the routing path which was determined.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method which, in one embodiment, enables a user to navigate the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS). The method initially involves uploading a delimited HTS file, and using it to create a wizard which optionally allows the user to navigate a series of options menus, or alternatively, the entire menu hierarchy can be displayed on the same screen. The selections made at every menu is saved for future reference. The method also optionally enables the documentation of Export Control Classification Numbers, which are recorded along with applicable control information for the product.

Abstract: A system for presenting information identifying a media item associated with a geographic area is disclosed. In one embodiment the system includes a server and a user device. The server receives media item information identifying a media item and location information identifying a geographic location associated with the device at which the media item was interacted with; identifies a second media item played within a geographic area of interest; and provides information identifying the second media item. The user device interacts with the media item; provides information identifying the media item; provides location information identifying a geographic location associated with the device at which the media item was interacted with; receives an identification of a geographic area; receives information that identifies the second media item; and presents the information that identifies the second media item.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for providing advance content alerts during playback of a media item. In one embodiment, upcoming content in the media item is analyzed based on a received advance content alert configuration. Content is detected that substantially satisfies the received advanced content alert configuration. An advance content alert is generated for the upcoming content based upon the detection of the upcoming content that substantially satisfies the received advanced content alert configuration. The advance content alert is provided prior to playback of the upcoming content. Providing the advance content alert can be providing the advance content alert prior to playback of the upcoming content to a mobile device providing the advanced content alert configuration. Providing the advance content alert can be inserting the advance content alert into the media item during playback such that the advance content alert is presented prior to playback of the upcoming content.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are systems and methods for navigating electronic texts. According to an aspect, a method may include determining text subgroups within an electronic text. The method may also include selecting a text seed within one of the text subgroups. Further, the method may include determining a similarity relationship between the text seed and one or more adjacent text subgroups that do not include the selected text seed. The method may also include associating the text seed with the one or more adjacent text subgroups based on the similarity relationship to create a text cluster.

Abstract: A system and method are provided for maintaining a historical record of anonymized user profile data for mobile device users. In one embodiment, a central system, which includes one or more servers, operates to obtain current locations and user profiles for users of mobile devices. The central system processes the current locations and the user profiles of the users over time to maintain a historical record of anonymized user profile data by location. By anonymizing the user data, privacy of the users of the mobile devices is maintained. The central system may then use the historical record of anonymized user profile data to respond to historical requests. The historical requests may be made by users of the mobile devices, subscribers, and/or third party services.

Abstract: A device receives key frame information for each of a plurality of key frames of a video content item and sends the key frame information from the device to a recipient while a corresponding segment of the video content item is being rendered by the device. The key frame information may include key frames of the video content item, references to the key frames of the video content item stored by one or more remote sources, or information identifying the key frames of the video content item to enable extraction of the key frames by a recipient device. Each key frame is representative of a segment of the video content item. The key frame information for the video content item is then sent to second users while the first user views the corresponding segment of the video content item. Advertisements may be sent with, or replace, the key frame information.

Abstract: A system and method are disclosed for providing location-based wagering. In one embodiment, wagerable data associated with a location of a first user is identified. The wagerable data may be any type of data on which a wager may be based. Then, a wager recommendation is generated based on the wagerable data and returned to the first user. The first user defines a wager, and the wager is published to one or more second users located in proximity to the first user. Each of the one or more second users is enabled to accept the wager if desired. In addition, one or more winners and one or more losers of the wager may be identified and payout may then be effected.

Abstract: Systems and methods for presenting information identifying a media item associated with a geographic area are disclosed. In one embodiment, a user device comprises a media player adapted to interact with a media item. The user device comprises a communication interface adapted to provide media item information identifying the media item, and to provide location information identifying a geographic location associated with the user device at which the media item was interacted with. The user device comprises a location determination component adapted to receive an identification of a geographic area. The communication interface is further adapted to receive information that identifies a second media item, wherein location information associated with the second media item is associated with the identified geographic area. The user device further comprises a user interface adapted to present, via the user device, the information that identifies the second media item.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices are disclosed for transferring video display between video playback devices. In one embodiment, a mobile, or handheld, device having a media broker detects a renderer. The mobile device initiates a transfer request to the media broker, the transfer request includes identifying information for the renderer. In one embodiment, the mobile device receives at the media broker a playback state of a media content on the renderer. The mobile device requests the media content from a media controller and receives and displays the media content from the media controller. In one embodiment, the transfer request directs the media broker to transfer content being displayed on the renderer to the mobile device.

Abstract: A medication storage and dispensing workstation for use in a medication management system administering the inventory and distribution of pharmaceuticals and medical supplies in a healthcare environment is disclosed. The workstation incorporates a linear drawer assembly having a plurality of discrete, removable, storage modules for containing medications and/or other medical supplies. The storage modules are arranged in a linear array extending longitudinally along the travel path of the linear drawer assembly. Each storage module, in turn, comprises a drawer that is extensible laterally relative to the linear arrangement of the storage modules. As such, the drawer assemblies comprise a compartmentalized “drawer-in-drawer” arrangement that provides an efficient use of storage space and enables a user to utilize the workstation in a workspace having a smaller footprint that traditional storage cabinet apparatus.

Abstract: Systems and methods for obtaining key frames of video content items being viewed by first users and publishing the key frames of the video content items to second users are provided. In general, either prior to playback of a video content item by a first user or during playback of the video content item by the first user, key frame information providing, referencing, or identifying key frames of the video content item is obtained. Each key frame is representative of a segment of the video content item. The key frame information for the video content item is then published such that each key frame is presented to one or more second users while the first user views the corresponding segment of the video content item.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are methods and systems for notifying a computing device of a communication addressed to a user based on an activity or presence of the user. According to an aspect, a method includes storing identification of a computing device associated with one or both of an activity and presence of a user. For example, the identification may be stored in a mobile device. The method may include receiving a communication addressed to the user. For example, the communication may be received at a mobile device and managed by a communication manager. In response to receiving the communication, the communication manager may apply a communication rule for notifying the computing device of the communication based on the activity and/or presence of the user.
