  • Patent number: 10610020
Abstract: A folding chair assembly with an improved folding mechanism. The folding chair assembly has a backrest structure, a seat structure, and an armrest structure that are all made from shaped tube forms. The tube form of the armrest structure is attached to the tube form of the backrest structure with a pivot connection. The tube form of the armrest structure is also attached to the tube form of the seat structure at a pivot connection. A slotted linkage is provided that extends between the tube form of the backrest and the tube form of the seat. The slotted linkage is pivotably connected to either the backrest structure or to the seat structure. The slotted linkage defines a slot. The slot engages a fixed pin on either the seat structure or the backrest structure. The fixed pin reciprocally moves within the slot as the folding chair assembly is manipulated.

  • Publication number: 20200085876
Abstract: Provided herein are methods and compositions for dynamically controlling and targeting multiple arms of the immune system. Some aspects provide mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) engineered to produce multiple effector molecules. In some instances, each effector molecule modulates a different cell type of the immune system or different functions of a cell. Also provided herein are methods of using the MSCs to treat or alleviate symptoms of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), for example.

  • Publication number: 20190338553
Abstract: A portable shelter having an improved crown hub assembly for extending and collapsing the shelter. The crown hub assembly has a mounting disc, wherein a plurality of pole receptacles are pivotably connected to the mounting disc. A slotted plate is positioned under the mounted disc. The slotted plate has slots that align with the pole receptacles when properly rotated. The alignment between the slots and the pole receptacles enables the pole receptacles to rotate from a horizontal orientation into a vertical orientation. Support poles are received into each of the pole receptacles. The support poles support the canopy of the shelter.

  • Publication number: 20190338549
Abstract: A collapsible stand that is designed for use on loose soil or sand. The collapsible stand has a central shaft and an auger that extends from the shaft. A slide hub moves along the central shaft between a first position and a second position. Legs radially extend from the central shaft. Linkages are used to interconnect the legs with the slide hub. When the slide hub moves to its first position along the central shaft, the linkages move the legs into a stowed configuration. When the slide hub moves to the second position, the linkages move the legs into a deployed configuration. The central shaft is set into the ground using the auger. The legs are deployed, wherein the legs have footpads that rest upon the ground. The pull of the auger biases the footpads against the ground and create a highly stable stand.

  • Publication number: 20190335892
Abstract: A portable table with a collapsible support framework. The support framework has legs that are interconnected by scissor linkages. The legs have brackets affixed to the top end. Guide rails are provided that can be selectively attached to the support framework. The guide rails contain connectors that selectively engage the brackets on the legs of the support framework. Each of the guide rails has a top surface and a ledge that is disposed a first depth below the top surface. A segmented tabletop extends between the guide rails. The segmented tabletop rests on the ledges of the guide rails, wherein the segmented tabletop is the same thickness as the depth of the ledges. This provides the portable table with a flat top surface having no cantilevered areas. The result is a strong and sturdy table that can be easily and rapidly disassembled.

  • Publication number: 20190335893
Abstract: A platform assembly that attaches to a shaft. The platform assembly includes a hub that is mounted in a fixed position. Cradle supports extend from the hub. The cradle supports define open troughs having open tops between opposing side surfaces. Support arms are provided that are connected to the cradle supports with pivot connections. The pivot connections enable the support arms to rotate between an open position and a folded position. In the open position, each of the support arms lay flush in the open troughs. In the folded position, each of the support arms are angled away from the open trough. A flexible panel is supported by the support arms. The flexible panel is held taut in a horizontal plane when the support arms are in their open positions. The flexible panel is folded and collapsed when the support arms are moved to their folded positions.

  • Patent number: 10405659
Abstract: An armrest assembly for use on a folding chair. The armrest assembly has a molded plastic body with a top surface and an underside. The armrest assembly is provided with a phone holder construct that amplifies sounds produced by a cell phone. An access opening is formed in the top surface of the armrest. A receptacle for holding the cell phone is positioned under the access opening. The receptacle has a base that is smaller than the access opening. Side walls extend from the access opening to the base, therein creating a tapered construct capable of amplifying sounds generated within the receptacle by the cell phone. Protrusions are formed on the base of the receptacle. The protrusions support the cell phone in the receptacle and prevent the speakers of the cell phone from becoming muffled by directly contacting the base within the receptacle.

  • Patent number: 7374406
Abstract: A method and system is provided for reducing chatter in multi-capacity compressors having disengageable eccentric structures. The multi-capacity fluid compressor includes a compression chamber having a discharge end and an inner surface. The compressor also includes a compression member having a disengageable eccentric structure allowing the compressor to provide discrete compression capacities. A valve portion is disposed adjacent to the discharge end of the compression chamber and is arranged and disposed to discharge a compressed fluid when the compression member has completed. A discharge arrangement is arranged and disposed to discharge at least a portion of fluid remaining in the compression chamber at the completion of the compression cycle. The discharge of at least a portion of the fluid remaining in the compression chamber reduces or eliminates forces on the disengageable eccentric structure to limit rotational acceleration of the disengageable eccentric structure.
