  • Publication number: 20060042104
Abstract: A measurement device provides coordinates for a specified location and position on the exterior surface of a vessel, including a base adapted to contact the exterior surface of the vessel; a rail extending upwardly from the base, the rail including a measurement scale; a head slidably supported by the rail; the head including a clamping mechanism used to releasably secure the head to the rail; and a laser carried by the head for projecting an image on the exterior surface of the vessel. The device quickly measures both the radial position and the angular position of an indicated location relative to the axis of the nozzle, and the skew of a transducer probe which provided the indicated location.

  • Publication number: 20050145465
Abstract: A conveyor construction that includes a conveyor frame assembly formed from a pair of spaced side frame members interconnected with each other by spaced cross members. The upper bed of the conveyor frame assembly is formed from individual bed plate strips attached to each of the cross members. The width of the conveyor frame assembly can be modified by the proper selection of the number of bed plate strips. The conveyor frame assembly includes a separate tensioning assembly and tracking adjustment assembly. The tracking adjustment assembly is adjusted separate from the tensioning assembly such that additional tension applied to the conveyor belt does not affect the previously selected tracking adjustment. The conveyor construction includes a center drive unit having only a single drive roller, a guide roller and a tensioning roller. The tensioning roller position is controlled by a pair of spaced tensioning cylinder.

  • Publication number: 20030105716
Abstract: Systems and techniques for improving the performance of a network system having one or more sending systems and one or more receiving systems may include determining the digital signature of a received digital file, comparing the digital signature against stored digital signatures of digital files accessible to the receiving system, and determining whether to store the received digital file and/or a location identifier for the stored version of the received digital file based on a result of the comparison.

  • Patent number: 6427927
Abstract: A fountain which allows interaction by the viewer which alters the fountain's water display. An apparatus and method are disclosed wherein a person viewing the fountain may provide a control indication which causes the fountain display to vary. The preferred embodiment uses an ultrasonic sensor to determine the height of a viewer's hand above a sensor and the water pressure delivered to the fountain is adjusted according to position of the viewer's hand. The invention may use a single or a plurality of sensors to control different groups of jets thereby allowing a large variety of fountain design options.

  • Patent number: 6276612
Abstract: A fountain control system capable of synchronizing a water, light, and sound performance. The fountain control system includes a plurality of variable speed pumps which are used to control the flow of water through the discharge conduits and ultimately the height of the stream of water projected by the discharge outlet. The fountain control system is capable of varying the speed of the pumps in accordance with an audio input signal and thereby control the height of the stream of water without the use of valves. The light and sound aspects of the performance are delayed to compensate for mechanical delays in the system to ensure a synchronized performance. The fountain control system has the added ability of providing a unique performance based on different pieces of music without the need of reprogramming.

  • Patent number: 6013881
Abstract: An operating head assembly for a key operated safety switch contains within its housing two inwardly biased locking plates surrounding and locking an operating cam. A key with beveled faces forces the locking plates outward, freeing the cam to rotate. A cross bar on the key rotates the cam to the operating position. The safety switch is thus not easily defeated by simple devices.
