The woven fabric has a warp dominant face and a filling dominant face, a plurality of warp yarns in a warp direction, and a plurality of filling yarns in a filling direction perpendicular to the warp direction crossing with the warp yarns at a plurality of intersections. At least 55% by number of the intersections have the warp yarn crossing with the filling yarn such that the warp yarn is on the warp dominant face of the fabric. At least 55% by number of the intersections have the warp yarn crossing with the filling yarn such that the filling yarn is on the filling dominant face of the fabric. The warp yarns have a linear mass density of between about 30 and 100 denier and the filling yarns have a linear mass density of between about 70 and 600 denier.

  • Publication number: 20120271645
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention relate to the automatic ordering of replacement parts in product servicing. One aspect of the invention concerns a service system including multiple components, a service initiator for identifying a component in the system that has failed or does not operate according to a service threshold, and determining whether the identified component needs a replacement part based on the service threshold. The service system automatically orders a replacement part if the replacement part is needed and notifies a user of the part order. The service threshold may be dynamically adjusted.

  • Publication number: 20110270525
Abstract: Embodiments of machines, systems, computer-implemented methods, and computer program products certify oil and gas well equipment. Embodiments identify a selected well equipment device, a device test specification, and testing sequences to be performed by a corresponding testing apparatus. Embodiments select a testing sequence responsive to the selected device. Embodiments control the testing apparatus for the selected testing sequence so that the corresponding testing apparatus performs the sequence responsive to the device test specification. Embodiments generate testing data for the selected testing sequence and link the testing data for the selected testing sequence to the device identifier for the device so that a certificate can be generated. Embodiments generate a certificate for the selected device responsive to the testing sequences having been performed upon the selected device and link the certificate for the selected device to the device identifier so that the certificate can be readily recalled.

  • Publication number: 20110203266
Abstract: An improved ocean wave energy extraction system is disclosed. The system includes at least one duct for receiving an oscillating water column. The duct has a first segment, a second segment arranged transversely to the first segment and a flow control segment intermediate the first and second segments. The flow control segment is configured to inhibit turbulent flow of the oscillating water column flowing within the duct. A turbine is in fluid communication with the second segment of the duct such that the turbine is driven by the fluid flow which is generated by the oscillations of the oscillating water column within the duct. The turbine rotates an electric generator to thereby generate electrical energy.

  • Patent number: 7648542
Abstract: A bag house filtration system in which the filter media includes a woven textile formed from glass yarns other high temperature resistant yarns. A first bath is applied to the textile which contains a conductive component, a first fluoropolymer and a lubricant (in some cases where the yarns are glass). A second bath containing primarily a second fluoropolymer is then applied to the textile and the first composition to seal the first composition on the textile. The textile, so treated dissipates the static electricity normally generated in the filter media thus reducing excessive buildup of contaminating particles and enhancing cleaning of the bag during use.
