  • Publication number: 20070289210
Abstract: A tomato plant support device includes a pole and a plurality of claw shaped support arms which are repositionable to optimally support the plant as it grows. The bottom end of the pole is anchored in the ground by a plurality or equally spaced fins. A glider has a longitudinal aperture for engaging the pole and is attached to the claw shaped support arm. A lever having a threaded end is received in a passageway in said glider and used to selective immobilized the claw section with respect to the pole said that it can be moved and rotated when necessary. Each tomato plant support device preferably includes two or more claw shaped support arms that curve towards each other so that together they can grab a plant as it grows.

  • Patent number: 7188156
Abstract: Disclosed are embodiments of a method, a system and a computer program product for selecting data to be presented in a report form. A selector window is displayed to a user, the selector window displaying periods of time for indicating those periods of time for which data is available. The periods of time are displayed as a stack of temporally aligned time lines that are each partitioned into time periods of different duration, where each partition of a given time line has a spatial extent that differs from the spatial extent of partitions of other time lines, with longer partitions encompassing a plurality of shorter partitions. In response to the user selecting a point on a time line, the method, system and computer program product displays a report of that data.

  • Publication number: 20060108866
Abstract: An apparatus which is a self contained trailer axle assembly that collects, stores and uses momentum energy with a hydraulic pump to engage the spinning trailer wheel to collect momentum energy when slowing or stopping the trailer, a hydraulic accumulator connected to the pump to store the energy until needed, a safety relief valve to redirect excess energy generated by the pump, and a hydraulic motor connected to a trailer wheel to use the energy from the accumulator spinning the wheel in the desired direction. In a preferred embodiment the invention will be an assembly of the component parts in one unit and can be used by trailer builders in place of the existing trailer axle assembly's which have no energy collecting ability.

  • Publication number: 20060089920
Abstract: The method and system quantify the impact of various design and operational solutions for equipment modules of a structure and the overall structure based upon economic factors. In particular, the method and system provide cost evaluation of various maintenance approaches for at least one equipment module that is part of an overall structure. In addition, a baseline and alternate equipment module may be specified for each equipment module. The costs associated with each of the maintenance approaches for each baseline and alternate equipment module then may be compared and the costs associated with the overall structure having a chosen maintenance approach for each baseline and alternate equipment module may be evaluated. The sensitivity of the costs associated with the overall structure to changes in one or more of the parameter values also may be calculated.

  • Patent number: 6667743
Abstract: A system and method for graphically displaying data from a plurality of selected data sets on a computer system including a display is disclosed. Each selected data set has a plurality of values corresponding to a plurality of parameter values. The method and system include determining a plurality of average values for a plurality of intervals. The plurality of average values are determined for each selected data set. Each of the plurality of average values is determined from a portion of the plurality of values. The portion of the plurality of values correspond to an interval of the plurality of intervals. Each of the plurality of intervals includes a portion of the plurality of parameter values. The method and system further include plotting the average value for each of the plurality of intervals on the display for each selected data set. The average value is depicted as a first symbol.

  • Patent number: 6470464
Abstract: A system and method of monitoring and analyzing the performance of a computer system and its components in a data processing network and for proposing changes to the network to improve the performance. The system involves identifying undesirable conditions (sometimes called bottlenecks) in the system, determining which bottlenecks are the most severe in affecting the performance of the system and in proposing changes to the components of the system to improve performance of the network. The present invention uses historical data and forecasting techniques to predict bottlenecks which have not occurred yet but which can be expected, so that further bottlenecks can be projected, along with a prediction interval to indicate the confidence of the prediction. The further projections and the prediction interval are provided in a graph which is available to the user over the Internet, if desired, using HTML and hot links.

  • Patent number: 6347652
Abstract: A machine for planing large wood timbers or other heavy wood products easily by self-propelling along the work piece and planing the wood surface as it goes. The machine has a set of planer knives driven by a power source, a set of rollers before and after the knives for self feeding the planer down the work, and a flat surface in front and behind the rollers and cutting knives for stability and smoothness. The roller may also be adjusted in relation to the cutters for depth of cut and/or slightly angling the cut to one side. Centering guides keep the unit balanced on the work piece. There can be multiple feed rollers in front and behind the planer knives.

  • Patent number: 6144379
Abstract: A computer managed communication network with user interactive access via a plurality of display terminals and including a plurality of linked network objects with a system for managing said network in which values of a selected parameter are sensed respectively for each of a plurality of selected objects and stored. The stored data is presented in a graph display including a plurality of icons, each icon representing aspects of said values with respect to one of said selected objects. User interactive means for selecting one of said icons are provided together with means responsive to said selecting means for graphically presenting other aspects of said values. In the monitoring of networks, the invention may be used to track network servers which are monitored via a distribution graph in which icons representative of servers are linked to more detailed line graphs of such servers showing the changes in parameter values versus a time line parameter.

  • Patent number: 6114299
Abstract: Aqueous textile treating compositions containing both nitrogen-functional organopolysiloxanes and oligomeric polyisobutylene polymers are as effective as conventional textile treating compositions containing only nitrogen-functional organopolysiloxane, and have improved resistance to yellowing, improved washfastness, and are more cost effective. Stable concentrates containing amino-functional organopolysiloxane, polyisobutylene, and a blend-stabilizing surfactant may be used to form aqueous emulsion and microemulsion fabric softener compositions.

  • Patent number: 6088030
Abstract: Described is a mapping function and Graphic User Interface (GUI) for use in an interactive computer system. The GUI is generated by a computer program and includes a view of events or objects associated icons and graphical representations of the objects. A different symbol is overlaid on each icon and a common symbol is overlaid on the graph that relates to the object and associated icon. Consequently, mapping is provided between the objects and graph lines and a viewer can easily associate an object with its associated graph.

  • Patent number: 4572424
Abstract: A container which is nested along its bottom closure panels in the web to gain additional capacity in a waxing unit. There are oblique outer edges on each of the bottom closure panels which allow the panels to be nested in the blank. All of oblique outer edges of each of the bottom closure panels extend in the same direction creating long and short sections in each of the closure panels which in the finished container interlock to hold the closure panels in a locked position. The oblique edges also provide camming edges which allow the bottom closure panels to be pushed inwardly into the container until they interlock and then snap back into position to form the bottom closure.
