  • Patent number: 11187290
Abstract: A brake assembly for use in a disc brake mechanism of a vehicle. The brake assembly includes an aluminum ceramic composite rotor connected to a central aluminum hub. The rotor includes projections extending radially inward toward the hub and engaging with through holes in the hub. The projections extend through the through holes to connect the rotor to the hub. The engagement between the projections and the through holes allows for radial movement of the projections relative to the through holes, which radial movement may be caused by thermal expansion of the rotor from heat generated during a breaking operation.

  • Publication number: 20210367877
Abstract: Packet routers route data packets based on existing topology files. The packet routers hash the existing topology files into content-addressed objects and exchange the content-addressed objects. One of the routers modifies its topology file into a new topology file, hashes the new topology file into a new content-addressed object, and transfers the new content-addressed object to the other packet routers. The packet routers exchange the content-addressed objects, and in response, exchange the topology files. The routers establish a consensus on the new topology file based on the existing topology files. The one packet router routes additional data packets based on the new topology file in response to the consensus. In some examples, the content-addressed objects comprise Inter-Planetary File System (IPFS) objects.

  • Patent number: 11178120
Abstract: A system and method to circumvent advertisement blockers using a proxy server is disclosed. The method describes loading, in response to a request from a user device browser to a website, an ad-detection element from a proxy server to the publisher server; detecting, utilizing the loaded ad-detection element from the proxy server, whether the web site is running the advertisement blocker; if an advertisement blocker is detected, receiving a modal request at the proxy server from the publishing server; outputting, from the proxy server, a modal parameter request to an ad management server for modal configuration parameters; returning, based on the modal parameter request, an ad unit response from the ad management server having the configuration parameters; generating a modal using the proxy server; sending the modal to the user device browser for consumption by the user; and modifying an interface parameter in the user device browser to o display the modal with the ad unit contained therein.

  • Publication number: 20210321735
Abstract: A luggage case includes a pair of shoulder hooks mounted on a telescoping assembly that extends from the luggage case to allow the user to place the shoulder hooks over the user's shoulders and tow the luggage case without having need for the user to use their hand(s) to tow the luggage case. The shoulder hooks are configured to swivel so that, when the telescoping assembly is collapsed, the shoulder hooks are received in respective pockets formed the top of the luggage case, and when the telescoping assembly is extended to a desired length, the shoulder hooks can be rotated to hook over the user's shoulders.

  • Publication number: 20210310781
Abstract: A system for dismantling submerged munitions is disclosed. The system includes a cleaning tool, a cutting tool, and a washout tool. The cleaning tool is configured to clean a surface of a submerged munition using a high-pressure water jet, and the cutting tool is configured to cut a hole in a submerged munition using a high-pressure abrasive water jet. The washout tool removes contents of the munition using one or more high pressure water jets. The system further includes a frame that houses the cleaning tool, the cutting tool, and the washout tool. The system may be lowered to the ocean floor and includes positioning mechanisms to position the cleaning tool, the cutting tool, and the washout tool relative to the munition to be dismantled. The system is configured to safely capture contents of submerged munitions to prevent release of the contents of the munition into the environment.

  • Patent number: 11115312
Abstract: A data packet router uses Inter-Planetary File System (IPFS) and consensus to control file modifications. The router routes data packets based on a networking file. The router modifies the networking file. The router generates a new IPFS object from the modified networking file. The router obtains consensus on the new IPFS object from neighbor routers. The routers use previously approved IPFS objects to retrieve topology data and achieve consensus on the modified networking file based on the topology data. In response to the consensus, the router routes data packets based on the modified networking file.

  • Patent number: 10943370
Abstract: Objects can be rendered in three dimensions and viewed and manipulated in an augmented reality environment. A number of object images, a number of segmentation masks, and an object mesh structure are used by a client device to render the object in three dimensions. The object images and segmentation masks can be sequenced into frames. The object images and segmentation masks can be partitioned into patches and sequenced, or ordered, within each patch, and a keyframe can be assigned in each patch. Then, the object images and segmentation masks can be encoded into video files and sent to a client device. The client device can quickly retrieve a requested object image and segmentation mask based at least in part on identifying the keyframe in the same patch as the object image and segmentation mask.

  • Patent number: 10839605
Abstract: Various embodiments provide methods and systems for users and business owners to share content and/or links to visual elements of a place at a physical location, and, in response to a user device pointing at a tagged place, causing the content and/or links to the visual elements of the place to be presented on the user device. In some embodiments, content and links are tied to specific objects at a place based at least in part upon one of Global Positioning System (GPS) locations, Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) orientations, compass data, or one or more visual matching algorithms. Once the content and links are attached to the specific objects of the place, they can be discovered by a user with a portable device pointing at the specific objects in the real world.
