  • Patent number: 9881084
Abstract: Various embodiments may obtain an image representation of an object for use in image matching and content retrieval. For example, an image matching system processes video content items to determine one or more scenes for one or more video content items. The image matching system can extract, from at least one video frame for a scene, feature descriptors relating to one or more objects represented in the at least one video frame. The image matching system indexes the feature descriptors into a feature index storing information for each of the feature descriptors and respective corresponding video frame. The image matching system correlates the feature descriptors of the feature index to determine one or more groups having similar feature descriptors. The image matching system indexes the one or more groups into a correlation index storing information for each of the one or more groups and respective corresponding feature descriptors.

  • Publication number: 20180018200
Abstract: An electronic device processes tasks in an application program on a first thread; creates, by the first thread, one or more additional threads distinct from the first thread; and partially processing a plurality of layout objects in the application program on the one or more additional threads. In accordance with a determination that one or more thread-control criteria are satisfied, the processing of the plurality of layout objects in the application program on the one or more additional threads is paused and control of processing the application program is given to the first thread, which processes additional tasks in the application program. After the additional tasks are processed, the processing of the plurality of layout objects resumes on the one or more additional threads.

  • Publication number: 20170243227
Abstract: Methods and systems for providing information to a mortgage recipient or other customer of a financial institution. A system identifies potential customer inquiries and provides a list of scripts responsive to the potential customer inquiries. If none of the scripts address the customer's inquiry, the customer specifies the inquiry and an additional list of scripts is generated. The scripts include scripted text, account information, and financial transaction information. In one variation, the customer accesses a website maintained by the financial institution and views a script responsive to the inquiry. In another variation, the customer telephones a customer service agent who selects a script responsive to the inquiry, and reads the script to the customer. In yet another variation, the script is provided to the customer via an Interactive Voice Response system.

  • Publication number: 20170053451
Abstract: Various embodiments provide methods and systems for users and business owners to share content and/or links to visual elements of a place at a physical location, and, in response to a user device pointing at a tagged place, causing the content and/or links to the visual elements of the place to be presented on the user device. In some embodiments, content and links are tied to specific objects at a place based at least in part upon one of Global Positioning System (GPS) locations, Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) orientations, compass data, or one or more visual matching algorithms. Once the content and links are attached to the specific objects of the place, they can be discovered by a user with a portable device pointing at the specific objects in the real world.

  • Publication number: 20160326379
Abstract: The invention pertains to an antifouling coating composition comprising a copper acrylate polymer, 2-(p-chlorophenyl)-3-cyano-4-bromo-5-trifluoromethyl pyrrole (tralopyril), and solvent, with the coating composition being substantially free of further biocidal compounds, wherein the copper acrylate polymer is present in an amount of 60-99 wt. % and the tralopyril is present in an amount of 0.1-30 wt. %, the weight percentages for copper acrylate polymer and tralopyril being calculated on the dry weight of the coating composition. In one embodiment, the coating composition comprises 30-70 wt % of solvent, the weight percentage of solvent being calculated on the wet weight of the coating composition. It has been found that the coating composition according to the invention combines a good antifouling performance against both weed and shell fouling, for at least 12 months, i.e. a yacht season, with a high gloss finish, and, when a suitable application method is used, a smooth and level surface.

  • Publication number: 20160210767
    Abstract: Systems and methods for two-dimensional visualization of a molecule, comprising the set of particles {p1, . . . , pN}, are provided. A set of N three-dimensional coordinates {x1, . . . , xN} is obtained, each xi in {x1, . . . , xN} describing a three-dimensional position for a corresponding particle pi in {p1, . . . , pN}. A cost function containing the error in a set of two-dimensional coordinates (c1, . . . , cN), where each ci in (c1, . . . , cN) corresponds to a three-dimensional coordinate xi in {x1, . . . , xN}, is minimized until an exit condition is achieved. The minimization alters the values of (c1, . . . , cN). A set of physical properties SM is obtained, each si,j in SM representing a physical property shared by a pair of particles (pi, pj) in {p1, . . . , pN}. Coordinates (c1, . . . , cN) are plotted as nodes of a two-dimensional graph after minimization. A plurality of edges for the graph is plotted.
