  • Publication number: 20220246423
Abstract: A method includes depositing a first epitaxial layer of an aluminum gallium nitride (AlGaN) material onto a preliminary substrate and polishing the first layer's surface. Ions are implanted beneath the surface, which is bonded to a seed insulating substrate. Annealing is performed, resulting in second epitaxial layer on preliminary substrate and third epitaxial layer on seed insulating substrate. Third layer's surface is polished to obtain a seed wafer. In some implementations, a fourth epitaxial layer of a second AlGaN material is deposited onto surface of third layer. Fourth layer's surface is polished, and ions are implanted beneath the surface, which is bonded to a product insulating substrate. Annealing is performed, resulting in fifth epitaxial layer on seed insulating substrate and sixth epitaxial layer on product insulating substrate. The sixth layer can be used to obtain an AlGaN product, and the fifth layer can be reused to fabricate additional AlGaN products.

  • Patent number: 11361280
Abstract: Among other things, product data is repeatedly communicated from an application on a device associated with a retail location to a server of a platform controlled independently of the application on the device. The product data identifies (a) current numbers of units of products available for retail customers at the retail location and (b) purchasing behavior of retail customers of the retail location with respect to combinations of the products. The retail location is repeatedly restocked with additional units of products to maintain the products in an in-stock state, the additional units have been received in deliveries made from one or more upstream product distribution entities based on predictions facilitated by the server of future demand for the products by retail customers of the retail location.

The apparatus can have a suction cup comprising a cup body, a sealing edge, an internal surface, an external surface, a fluid pathway extending from an interior of the cup body to the exterior of the cup body, and a plurality of cleats positioned on the internal surface of the cup body extending radially inward from proximate the sealing edge. The thickness of each cleat increases distal to the sealing edge. When air is pumped out of the cup body to allow it to seal to a surface, the cleats create a desirable fluid flow profile allowing for a tighter and more efficacious seal.
