  • Patent number: 11746531
Abstract: A roof edge intake vent has a base sheet member that rests over a roof opening and includes an upper edge having an upper mounting structure, and a lower edge has a lower mounting structure, for mounting a the top cover member thereupon. At least one vent opening is generally proximal the upper edge to allow airflow from the roof opening through the base sheet member. A plurality of first nail structures are adjacent the upper edge of the base sheet member, and a first baffle extends upwardly beside the vent opening opposite the first nail structures. A plurality of second nail structures are opposite the first baffle. A grill baffling extends laterally along the length of the top cover member adjacent the lower edge, and a second baffle extends downwardly adjacent the grill baffling and laterally the length of the top cover member.

  • Publication number: 20230014917
Abstract: A roof vent has a vent base and a cover. The vent base has an annular main body that extends from an inner perimeter to an outer perimeter. An inside baffle extends upwardly from the vent base. The cover is mounted to cover the opening and the inside baffle, and includes an outside baffle that extends downwardly from the cover, spaced a distance from the inside baffle to form a filter receiving space. A skirt extends downwardly from an edge of the cover towards the vent base. A plurality of upper pegs and a plurality of lower pegs extend downwardly into the filter receiving space. A filter is positioned in the filter receiving space, where it is penetrated by and held in place by the upper and lower pegs.

  • Patent number: 10415252
Abstract: An attic vent has a base component, a dome-shaped cover, and a mounting mechanism for mounting the dome-shaped cover onto and over the base component. The base component has a mounting plate with a vent opening having a vertical wall surrounding the vent opening and extending upwardly from the mounting plate and to an upper rim. A diverter extension wall extends upwardly from the upper rim on a plane that is orthogonal to the mounting plate, and further an open grill extends upwardly from the upper rim at an inward angle from the diverter extension wall. The dome-shaped cover extends outwardly and downwardly to a bottom edge, while covering the open grill. The mounting mechanism further extends downwardly over the vertical wall and is spaced from the mounting plate.

  • Patent number: 9175480
Abstract: A ridge vent has an elongated body, a plurality of ventilation slots, and a separation line that permits easy separation of an outer edge portion of the elongated body. Each of a first set of holes adjacent the separation line has a downwardly extending cylindrical body. Each of a second set of holes adjacent the separation line has a mating cylindrical body adapted to engage and nest within the downwardly extending cylindrical body of one of the second set of holes. Moreover, a width of the ridge vent may be reduced by separating the outer edge portion from the elongated body, overlapping it with the elongated body, and engaging the mating cylindrical bodies with the downwardly extending cylindrical bodies.

  • Patent number: 8181403
Abstract: A roof vent has a base member adapted to be mounted on a roof, and a cover member for excluding water. The base member has a generally planar base having an outer perimeter and an inner perimeter, the inner perimeter defining a vent aperture. A water barrier wall extends upwardly from the base around the vent aperture for excluding water. A ventilated dome extends from the water barrier wall at least partially over the vent aperture. Generally triangular wedges extending outwardly from the water barrier wall, shaped to direct water flow away from the water barrier wall. The cover member has a top cover element with a perimeter flange extending downwardly, and is adapted to be mounted over the base member.

  • Patent number: 7987649
Abstract: A vent strip has a generally rectangular vent strip body having a width that is greater than an aperture width of an aperture through a soffit board. A plurality of apertures through the vent strip enabling air circulation. A pair of resilient board engaging elements extend upwardly and outwardly from the vent strip body for engaging the aperture. A plurality of board engaging notches or fingers, of each of the resilient board engaging elements, are adapted for engaging the soffit board regardless of the thickness of the soffit board.
