  • Publication number: 20060042477
Abstract: In a bulk material bate binder, the bulk material bale binder having a stand adjacent a baling station and being installed to bind bales compressed by an up press having a moving lower platen, the lower platen having insertion slots for guide tracks, a guide track removal and insertion apparatus including a guide track removal frame, the frame being hingedly mounted on the stand such that the guide track removal frame may rotate to and from an engaged position and a removed position; a guide track mount, pivotably mounted on the guide track removal frame, the guide track mount having an insertion position and a retracted position; a guide track section attached to the guide track mount, the guide track section having an insertion portion; and a linkage, the linkage having a first end and a second end, the first end being operatively engaged with the stand and the second end being operatively engaged with the guide track mount, such that during insertion and removal of the insertion portion of the guide track,

  • Publication number: 20060042476
Abstract: The lower guide track sections for a bale binder engaged with a down press include a platen portion substantially as long as a platen slot and dimensioned for deployment within the platen slot. Track extensions extend outward from the platen. The first extension has a strap receiving end face that to cooperates with a first strap guide track on a carriage such that the first strap guide track on the first carriage is dimensioned to index laterally beyond a press frame. A second extension having a strap exit end face cooperates with a second strap guide track on a second carriage such that the second strap guide track on the second carriage is dimensioned to index laterally beyond the press frame. First and second guide track sections are mounted on laterally displaceable carriages and each have an exit end face, the end faces operatively cooperate with the receiving end faces of the extensions.

  • Publication number: 20060043138
Abstract: A wire feeding apparatus is disclosed. The wire feeding apparatus includes a rotable drive shaft, a servo motor in driving relationship with the drive shaft and one or more feed modules. Each feed module is selectively engaged with the drive shaft through the use of a linear actuator. When the linear actuator is engaged, each feed module is driven by the drive shaft such that wire is either fed or retracted.

  • Publication number: 20060042478
Abstract: A laterally displaceable guide track for a bale binding apparatus includes a carriage with a guide track portion mounted on it with a hinge. The guide track portion has an engaged position and a disengaged position. The engaged position is aligned with at least one other guide track portion to define a bale loop plane, and the disengaged position is out of the bale loop plane. The mount allows the guide track portion to be moved between the engaged position and the disengaged position. The disengaged position allows the carriage to be withdrawn from a baling station for ejection of a finished bale.

  • Publication number: 20040199495
Abstract: A system provides document browsing by proper name. The system identifies a subset of documents from a set of documents (310). The documents in the subset of documents include proper names. The system receives a selection of at least one of the proper names from the subset of documents (330) and searches the subset of documents to identify one or more of the documents in the subset of documents that include at least one occurrence of the selected proper name(s) (360). The system then presents the one or more of the documents as a result of the search (370).

  • Publication number: 20040024582
Abstract: A system aids a user in translating an audio signal that includes speech from one language to another. The system retrieves a textual representation of the audio signal and presents the textual representation to the user. The system receives selection of a segment of the textual representation for translation and obtains a portion of the audio signal corresponding to the segment. The system then provides the segment of the textual representation and the portion of the audio signal to the user to help the user translate the audio signal.

  • Publication number: 20040006748
Abstract: A system notifies a user of the detection of data that is relevant to an event of interest. The system obtains a user profile that includes one or more example documents that define the event. The system receives data that corresponds to multimedia information and determines the relevance of the data to the event based on the one or more example documents. The system notifies the user when the data is determined to be relevant.

  • Publication number: 20040006576
Abstract: A system facilitates the searching and retrieval of multimedia data items. The system receives data items from different types of media sources and identifies regions in the data items. The regions include document regions, section regions, and passage regions. Each of the section regions corresponds to one of the document regions and each of the passage regions corresponds to one of the section regions and one of the document regions. The system stores document identifiers that relate to the document regions in separate document records in a document table, section identifiers that relate to the section regions in separate section records in a section table, and passage identifiers that relate to the passage regions in separate passage records in a passage table.

  • Publication number: 20040006628
Abstract: A system alerts a user of detection of an item of interest in real time. The system receives a user profile that relates to the item of interest. The system obtains real time data corresponding to information created in multiple media formats. The system determines the relevance of the real time data to the item of interest based on the user profile and alerts the user when the real time data is determined to be relevant.

  • Publication number: 20040006737
Abstract: A system improves recognition results. The system receives multimedia data and recognizes the multimedia data based on training data to generate documents. The system receives user augmentation relating to one of the documents or new documents from a user. The system supplements the training data with the user augmentation or new documents and retrains based on the supplemented training data.
