  • Publication number: 20220118822
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for heat sanitizing a vehicle. In one example, a method may include, while receiving power from an external power source and responsive to receiving a request for cleaning an interior of a vehicle, operating an electric heater of a heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning (HVAC) system to heat the interior above an upper threshold temperature for a first threshold duration using the power received from the external power source. In this way, the HVAC system may be advantageously used to expose the vehicle interior to temperatures that kill or inactive microbes while vehicle battery power and fuel are conserved by using power supplied from the external power source.

  • Publication number: 20210316486
Abstract: A molten plastic delivery system is disclosed having a nozzle defining a nozzle channel with a downstream nozzle channel opening. A valve pin is reciprocable within the nozzle channel between a closed position and an open position. The system includes a bell crank having first and second arms that are connected at and rotatable about a pivot. The first arm is coupled to the valve pin and the second arm is coupled to a push-pull cable such that angularly pushing the second arm about the pivot via the push-pull cable moves the valve pin to the open position and angularly pulling the second arm about the pivot via the push-pull cable moves the valve pin to the closed position.

  • Publication number: 20210314490
Abstract: Embodiments are described for a stabilization system configured, in some embodiments, for stabilizing image capture from an aerial vehicle (e.g., a UAV). According to some embodiments, the stabilization systems employs both active and passive stabilization means. A passive stabilization assembly includes a counter-balanced suspension system that includes an elongated arm that extends into and is coupled to the body of a vehicle. The counter-balanced suspension system passively stabilizes a mounted device such as an image capture device to counter motion of the UAV while in use. In some embodiment the counter-balanced suspension system passively stabilizes a mounted image capture assembly that includes active stabilization means (e.g., a motorized gimbal and/or electronic image stabilization). In some embodiments, the active and passive stabilization means operate together to effectively stabilize a mounted image capture device to counter a wide range of motion characteristics.
