Publication number: 20240137248Abstract: A system and method for providing on-demand edge compute. The system may include an orchestrator that provides a UI and that controls an abstraction layer for implementing a workflow for providing on-demand edge compute. The abstraction layer may include a server configuration orchestration (SCO) system (e.g., a Metal-as-a-Service (MaaS) system) and API that may provide an interface between the orchestrator and the SCO. The API may enable the orchestrator to communicate with the SCO for receiving requests that enable the SCO to integrate with existing compute resources to perform various compute provisioning tasks (e.g., to build and provision a server instance). The various tasks, when executed, may provide on-demand edge compute service to users. The SCO API may further enable the ECS orchestrator to receive information from the SCO (e.g., compute resource information, status messages).Type: ApplicationFiled: August 9, 2023Publication date: April 25, 2024Applicant: Level 3 Communications, LLCInventors: Austin Ritchie, Scott Hemmann, Wen Wang, Brett Dwyer

Publication number: 20240135224Abstract: Quantum sensors provide excellent performance combining high sensitivity with spatial resolution. Unfortunately, they can only detect signal fields at frequencies in a few accessible ranges, typically low frequencies up to the experimentally achievable control field amplitudes and a narrow window around their resonance frequencies. Fortunately, arbitrary-frequency signals can be detected by using the sensor qubit as a quantum frequency mixer, enabling a variety of sensing applications. The technique leverages nonlinear effects in periodically driven (Floquet) quantum systems to achieve quantum frequency mixing of the signal and an applied AC bias field. The frequency-mixed field can be detected using Rabi and CPMG sensing techniques with the bias field. Frequency mixing can distinguish vectorial components of an oscillating signal field, thus enabling arbitrary-frequency vector magnetometry.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 31, 2023Publication date: April 25, 2024Applicant: Massachusetts Institute of TechnologyInventors: Guoqing WANG, Yixiang LUI, Jennifer SCHLOSS, Scott ALSID, Danielle A. Patent number: 11950959Abstract: The present disclosure describes ultrasound imaging systems and methods for ultrasonically inspecting biological tissue. An ultrasound imaging system according to the present disclosure may be configured to automatically apply tissue-specific imaging parameter settings (312, 314) based upon the automatic identification of the type of tissue being scanned. Tissue type identification (315) may be performed automatically for the images in the live image stream (304) and thus adjustments to the imaging settings may be applied automatically by using a neural network (320) and thus dynamically during the exam obviating the need for the sonographer to manually switch presets or adjust the imaging settings when moving to different portion of the anatomy.Type: GrantFiled: July 19, 2019Date of Patent: April 9, 2024Assignee: KONINKLIJKE PHILIPS N.V.Inventors: Raghavendra Srinivasa Naidu, Claudia Errico, Hua Xie, Haibo Wang, Scott William Dianis

Patent number: 11947415Abstract: According to various embodiments, a method, medium, and system for exporting log messages related to a particular job running in a micro services system is described in this disclosure. The method uses a mapping table to narrow down the search scope for finding relevant log files. The mapping table maps a job attribute combination to one or more micro services, and thus will direct the search for relevant log messages only to those log files related to the one or more micro services. The search scope can be further narrowed down using a start time and end time of the job. Once the relevant log files are found, log messages containing an identifier of the job can be extracted from the relevant log files for display or for a user to download. The mapping table can be automatically generated by parsing through historical files in a system non-busy time.Type: GrantFiled: January 13, 2022Date of Patent: April 2, 2024Assignee: DELL PRODUCTS L.P.Inventors: Mengze Liao, Pankaj Pande, Jinjin Wang, Scott Quesnelle
