  • Patent number: 11027892
Abstract: A resealable closure for a container in which package integrity is indicated by a structure which connects the closure to a remaining portion of the container which must be broken in order to gain access to the contents of the container for a first time. The package integrity feature, in one form, includes a structure associated with the closure, wherein upon opening the closure for a first time, the structure stretches, increasing a length of the structure until the structure eventually breaks, leaving one or both residual ends of the broken structure rippled or curved upward from the remainder of the container. In one alternative form, the structure is associated with a pull tab of the sealing panel, which comprises the closure, whereby either the structure must be broken first, prior to pulling back the sealing panel, or while pulling back the sealing panel for a first time, the structure breaks, prior to gaining access to the contents therein.

  • Patent number: 11030338
Abstract: A system and method for selectively securing data from unauthorized access on a client device storing a plurality of data types with reference to an authorization level indicated in a command. A command is received at a client device comprising an authorization level indicator. Based on at least one predefined rule, which may be implemented in an IT policy stored at the client device, each of the plurality of data types to be secured is determined, and then the data corresponding to those types is secured. The data may be secured by encrypting and/or deleting the data at the client device. The predefined rules associated with each authorization level may be configured by a user or administrator having an authorization level that exceeds the associated authorization level.

  • Patent number: 11017880
Abstract: Disclosed in some examples are methods including selecting a first plurality of single gene mutants from a pool of possible single gene mutants of an organism. The first plurality of single gene mutants is less than a number of possible single mutants. A computer processor is used to iteratively select a second plurality of single gene mutants by selecting single gene mutants from the pool of possible single gene mutants that increases a sum of products of similarities between the first plurality of single gene mutants and corresponding functional relationships. The second plurality of single gene mutants is larger in number than the first plurality of single gene mutants, and wherein the second plurality of single gene mutants is less than the number of possible single gene mutants of the organism. • Publication number: 20210141503
Abstract: A method for generating GUIs for condition monitoring is provided and includes maintaining a machine model configuration associating measurement points of a first machine component with first data sources. A generated GUI includes a first portion displaying a list of machines including the first machine and a second machine, and a second portion including visualization of first machine components, including outputs of the first data sources. In response to user selection, the first component visualization is copied from the second GUI portion. The first GUI portion is updated to add the first component as a second component of the second machine. The copied visualization is pasted within the second GUI portion corresponding to the second component. Respective second data sources of the second component measurement points are identified, and the second GUI portion corresponding to the second component can be updated to display the output of the second data sources.

  • Publication number: 20210134939
Abstract: A method of fabricating an integrated circuit (IC) includes forming a dielectric layer on a substrate having a plurality of the IC. A thin-film resistor (TFR) layer is deposited on the dielectric layer, and an underlayer (UL) including carbon is formed on the TFR layer. A hard mask layer including silicon is formed on the UL. Masked etching of the hard mask layer transfers a pattern of a photoresist layer onto the hard mask layer to form a hard mask layer pattern. Masked etching of the UL transfers the hard mask layer pattern onto the UL to form a UL pattern. Masked etching of the TFR layer transfers the UL pattern onto the TFR layer to form a TFR layer pattern including a matched pair of TFRs. The matched pair of TFRs are generally included in circuitry configured together for implementing at least one function.

  • Publication number: 20210129413
Abstract: A method of manipulating thermoplastic film to create integrated features and particularly relates to an improved method of manufacturing a packaging bag that is reclosable after initial opening. Multiple sections of thermoplastic film are layered on top of themselves to form a multi-layer portion of the thermoplastic film. The multi-layer portion may then be conglomerated into a unitary thicker portion of the film that can then be shaped into a closure strip. In order to form a bag, a second such closure strip may be made. The two closure strips are then aligned and the remaining open portions of the bag are then sealed such that the closure strips form a reclosable opening that may be opened and closed repeatedly.

  • Publication number: 20210130065
Abstract: A structure is described for forming a wrapper, e.g., for print media, where the structure includes lines of weakness for facilitating a user's tearing of the wrapper to access the contents. The lines of weakness may include a first line of weakness that extends along a fold line of an envelope fold forming one of the front or rear or right sides of the wrapped package, as well as a second line of weakness that extends substantially perpendicularly to the respective longitudinal fold lines and a third line of weakness that extends between the first line of weakness and the second line of weakness and is disposed at a non-zero angle with respect to each. In this way, a tear initiated near the first line of weakness and may be propagated along the other lines of weakness to create an opening for accessing the product.

  • Patent number: 10954019
Abstract: A tensioning control device having a first motor that applies a torque to a first end of a substrate in a first direction and a second motor that applies a torque to a second end of the substrate in a second direction that is generally opposite the first direction is disclosed. In this manner, the first motor and the second motor apply torque to the substrate in opposing directions, thereby placing the substrate in tension. In one embodiment, the first motor applies a torque to the first end of the substrate that is equal to the torque applied to the second end of the substrate by the second motor. By placing the substrate in tension in this manner, an actuator is able to incrementally move the substrate in a forward direction and a backward direction independent of the tension applied to the substrate.
