  • Patent number: 11518082
Abstract: Plasma applications are disclosed that operate with argon or helium at atmospheric pressure, and at low temperatures, and with high concentrations of reactive species in the effluent stream. Laminar gas flow is developed prior to forming the plasma and at least one of the electrodes can be heated which enables operation at conditions where the argon or helium plasma would otherwise be unstable and either extinguish, or transition into an arc. The techniques can be employed to clean and activate a metal substrate, including removal of oxidation, thereby enhancing the bonding of at least one other material to the metal.

  • Patent number: 11522043
Abstract: A method of fabricating an integrated circuit (IC) includes forming a dielectric layer on a substrate having a plurality of the IC. A thin-film resistor (TFR) layer is deposited on the dielectric layer, and an underlayer (UL) including carbon is formed on the TFR layer. A hard mask layer including silicon is formed on the UL. Masked etching of the hard mask layer transfers a pattern of a photoresist layer onto the hard mask layer to form a hard mask layer pattern. Masked etching of the UL transfers the hard mask layer pattern onto the UL to form a UL pattern. Masked etching of the TFR layer transfers the UL pattern onto the TFR layer to form a TFR layer pattern including a matched pair of TFRs. The matched pair of TFRs are generally included in circuitry configured together for implementing at least one function.

  • Patent number: 11511477
Abstract: A flexible packaging laminate has built-in opening/reclose and tam per-evidence features by forming the laminate from an outer structure joined in face-to-face relation to an inner structure. Score lines are formed in both structures to enable an opening to be formed through the laminate by lifting a flap or the like out of the plane of the laminate. The score line through the outer structure defines a larger opening than the score line through the inner structure, such that a marginal region of the outer structure extends beyond the edge of the opening portion of the inner structure. A pressure-sensitive adhesive is used to re-adhere the marginal region to an underlying surface of the inner structure adjacent the opening through the laminate. The outer score line includes at least one tear portion that is torn through upon initial opening, thus indicating the package has been at least partially opened.

  • Publication number: 20220305249
Abstract: An aseptic coupling arrangement can include a first coupling device and a second aseptic coupling device. In one embodiment, the first and second coupling devices are substantially similar, each having a main body defining a front face and a fluid passageway therethrough. A first connecting feature disposed on the main body of each coupling device may be provided for aligning and coupling the aseptic devices together. Each coupling device may also include a sealing member received in the main body and a membrane removably coupled to the main body front face to cover the sealing member. The first aseptic coupling device may also include a rotatable protective cover that is removably attached to the main body and connected to the membrane. In one embodiment, the removal of the protective covers away from two coupled main bodies, in a direction parallel to the front faces, causes removal of the membranes.

  • Publication number: 20220292097
Abstract: A system stores associates a database query with a name and stores versions of the database query. The system allows applications to execute a specific version of the database query by specifying the name of the database query and a version identifier. For example, the database query may be exposed as an endpoint of a REST API and invoked using calls to the REST API. This allows the applications to be designed without including the query definition within the code of the application. Continuous delivery of database query is performed by creating a new version of the database query that are tested using applications in a test environment. Once the new version of a database query meets test criteria, the new version of the database query is executed by applications running in production environment by sending API requests that identify the query name and the new version.
