  • Publication number: 20230305972
Abstract: An apparatus may include a memory device, a memory controller, or both that can communicate via memory standard interfaces. However, the memory device may have physical memory that does not comply with the memory standard by itself. Disclosed herein are solutions that allow various non-standard types of memory, or emerging memory, to be utilized via a host, microprocessor, or memory controller that implements the interface standard. For example, by utilizing a command converter at the microprocessor and a tunneling register at the memory device, a microprocessor can send commands to the memory device by writing them to the tunneling register, which can then be processed at the memory device for operations to be performed with the non-standard or emerging memory.

  • Publication number: 20230252226
Abstract: Systems and methods are directed to a compression scheme for stable universally unique identities in a collaborative editing environment. A client receives edits to a document and immediately creates a local short identity for an element of each edit, whereby the local short identity represents an offset from a base unique identity associated with the client from which a unique identifier assigned to the element is derivable. The local short identity information including the local short identity for each element is transmitted to a server. Subsequently, global short identity information is received from the server from which one or more global short identities that each map to a local short identity of a client of a plurality of clients collaborating on the document can be determined by the client. Each global short identity is a compact identity that is universally unique to the plurality of clients including the client.

  • Patent number: 11718460
Abstract: A structure is described for forming a wrapper, e.g., for print media, where the structure includes lines of weakness for facilitating a user's tearing of the wrapper to access the contents. The lines of weakness may include a first line of weakness that extends along a fold line of an envelope fold forming one of the front or rear or right sides of the wrapped package, as well as a second line of weakness that extends substantially perpendicularly to the respective longitudinal fold lines and a third line of weakness that extends between the first line of weakness and the second line of weakness and is disposed at a non-zero angle with respect to each. In this way, a tear initiated near the first line of weakness and may be propagated along the other lines of weakness to create an opening for accessing the product.
