  • Publication number: 20220205995
Abstract: Methods and devices for enriching a target biomarker from a bodily fluid of a subject are provided. A risk profile for the subject is used to predict that a target biomarker is present in the bodily fluid. The bodily fluid is contacted with a set of immuno-affinity inserts coated with affinity molecules specific for the target biomarker under conditions for the affinity molecules to bind the target biomarker. The affinity molecules bound to the target biomarker are separated from the bodily fluid.

  • Patent number: 11353038
Abstract: The gas turbine compressor for an aircraft gas turbine engine includes a compressor rotor having a plurality of compressor blades circumferentially distributed around a hub. Each of the compressor blades has an airfoil extending radially outward from the hub to a blade tip. A circumferential row of the compressor blades includes two or more different blade types, at least one modified blade of the two or more different blade types having means for generating different shock patterns between adjacent ones of the two or more different blade types when the gas turbine compressor operates in supersonic flow regimes. The means for generating different shock patterns on the modified blade aerodynamically mistune the two or more different blade types.

  • Publication number: 20210375482
Abstract: The present disclosure provides methods for screening subjects at a subordinate location within a geographic region, or a subordinate space within the subordinate location for an infectious agent. Such methods may comprise assigning a risk score to each of the one or more subordinate locations or subordinate spaces based on an amount of infectious agent in pooled environmental samples and pooled biological samples in a subordinate location or subordinate space as compared to each other subordinate location or subordinate space, and then screening biological samples from subordinate locations or subordinate spaces that have a higher risk score before screening biological samples from subordinate locations or subordinate spaces that have a lower risk score. Methods for determining a risk of a viral infection in one or more geographic regions are also provided.

  • Patent number: 11097145
Abstract: The present invention is a free weight belt squat machine that allows a free, unencumbered raising and lowering of variable resistance by a user. A belt which is directly attached to the horizontal free weight bar holds standard Olympic plates and may be raised or lowered, directly in free space, by the user. Thus, the natural and optimal movement pattern of a straight line over the user's center of gravity may be fully and completely realized. This machine provides a control arm to safely and effectively engage and disengage the resistance from the machine to the user and then back to the machine. This machine further provides an adjustable stopper mechanism for the safety of the user and to limit or expand the range of the exercise to cause the desired adaptations in muscular strength and size.

  • Publication number: 20210106142
Abstract: The present invention is a lower back restoration device to keep the legs in a position in which the lower back and knees form a desired angle. The device has an elevated base portion comprising of leg receiving channels to position the legs of the user bent at the knees at approximately 90 degrees. The base has a height that is substantially adjustable to the length of the upper legs of the user. The device keeps the knees in separated position and symmetrically spaced from each other and keeps the legs in-line and prevent of twisting the lower back, thereby keeps the lower back in neutral position and removes the pressure from the lower back.

  • Publication number: 20210104387
Abstract: The invention provides a method and system to remotely monitor a plasma (3) comprising a magnetic field antenna (2) positioned in the near electromagnetic field of a coupled plasma source wherein the magnetic field antenna is a magnetic loop antenna placed in the near electromagnetic field and measure near field signals emitted from the plasma source. A radio system (1) is utilised to analyse the low power signal levels across a wide frequency band. Plasma paramaters such as series, or geometric, resonance plasma and electron-neutral collision frequencies are evaluated via a fitting of resonant features present on higher harmonics of the driving frequency to identify arcing, pump or matching failure events, common in fabrication plasma systems.

  • Patent number: 10938936
Abstract: Improved techniques for controlling delivery (e.g., download) of application programs from a remote application repository to different client computing devices are disclosed. Application programs are often built to operate on computing devices that have certain hardware capabilities. Hence, application programs available for download from a remote application repository might not be suitable execution on all client computing devices that are able to access the remote application repository. The improved techniques for controlling delivery can operate to permit the applications to be received by only those client computing devices that have the required hardware capabilities to properly operate the application programs.

  • Patent number: 10850152
Abstract: The power squat exercise machine is an exercise machine for performing a squat exercise in a safe and controlled manner by providing shoulder pads with a specific angle which allows for the optimal comfort, posture, safety, and transfer of strength to a free weight squat. Support members are provided for more stability to the machine. It provides a dual safety stopping mechanism. The stopping mechanism provides controlled movement by the user and a safe entry and exit from the squat exercise machine. An adjustable safety locking mechanism is also provided which allows the user to control the movement range of the resistance.

  • Patent number: 10812033
Abstract: Various embodiments include an apparatus to filter radio-frequencies in a plasma-based processing device. In various embodiments, an RF filter device includes a number of substantially-planar spiral-filters electrically coupled to and substantially parallel to each other in a spaced-apart arrangement. In one embodiment, each of the planar spiral-filters is coupled to an adjacent one of the planar spiral filters as either an inside-to-inside electrical connection or an outside-to-outside electrical connection based on an arrangement of the successive spirals so as to increase a total value of inductance. Other methods, devices, apparatuses, and systems are disclosed.

  • Patent number: 10740064
Abstract: Described herein are a system and techniques for dynamically generating targeted media content. In some embodiments, the system identifies an appropriate template based on the content currently being consumed by a user, preferences or attributes associated with that user, a product to be presented, or any other suitable factor. Once a temple has been selected, a product may be selected for presentation to the user based on the content currently being consumed by a user, preferences or attributes associated with that user, or any other suitable factor. The selected template is then populated using attributes of the user and/or the product. Once populated, the text in the populated template may be smoothed. The generated content may then be synthesized into a different format, in order to match a format of content currently being consumed by a user, which may then be presented to the user.

  • Patent number: 10670041
Abstract: A compressor rotor, such as a fan, for a gas turbine engine is described which includes alternating at least first and second blade types. The leading edge of the second blade types includes a leading edge tip cutback extending to the blade tip thereof. The leading edge tip cutback of the second blade type defines a chord length at the blade tip of the second blade types that is less than that of the first blades types. The first and second blade types generate different shock patterns when the fan or compressor rotor operates in supersonic flow regimes.

  • Publication number: 20200163311
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for acquiring data from and communicating with a wearable device (e.g., a collar) affixed to animal are described. A wearable device affixed to a dog, for example, may acquire data and transmit the data to mobile devices or servers using one or several wireless technologies. The wearable device may also receive signaling, which may be indicative of commands to or feedback for the animal wearing the wearable device. The data acquired from the wireless device may be used for monitoring and communicating with an animal by, for example, generating reports, developing training or feeding schedules, or conveying relevant information to animal owners. Likewise, signaling sent to the device may facilitate interaction between an animal and the animal's owner, between the animal and its surroundings, or between multiple animals.
