  • Publication number: 20200094099
Abstract: The present invention is a free weight belt squat machine that allows a free, unencumbered raising and lowering of variable resistance by a user. A belt which is directly attached to the horizontal free weight bar holds standard Olympic plates and may be raised or lowered, directly in free space, by the user. Thus, the natural and optimal movement pattern of a straight line over the user's center of gravity may be fully and completely realized. This machine provides a control arm to safely and effectively engage and disengage the resistance from the machine to the user and then back to the machine. This machine further provides an adjustable stopper mechanism for the safety of the user and to limit or expand the range of the exercise to cause the desired adaptations in muscular strength and size.

  • Patent number: 10426140
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for acquiring data from and communicating with a wearable device (e.g., a collar) affixed to animal are described. A wearable device affixed to a dog, for example, may acquire data and transmit the data to mobile devices or servers using one or several wireless technologies. The wearable device may also receive signaling, which may be indicative of commands to or feedback for the animal wearing the wearable device. The data acquired from the wireless device may be used for monitoring and communicating with an animal by, for example, generating reports, developing training or feeding schedules, or conveying relevant information to animal owners. Likewise, signaling sent to the device may facilitate interaction between an animal and the animal's owner, between the animal and its surroundings, or between multiple animals.

  • Patent number: 10311403
Abstract: A method to provide information about media products available through a media distribution platform enables users of the media distribution platform to communicate information about media products via social network messages. Upon selection of an option by a user to communicate information about a media product via a social network message, the media distribution platform generates a pre-filled social network message that includes an identifier of the media product. In addition to allowing information about media products to be communicated via the social network, the media product identifier also enables the media distribution platform to retrieve information about a media product's popularity as indicated by the number of social network messages that include the identifier. This information can be utilized to enhance and personalize user media product recommendations through the media distribution platform.

  • Publication number: 20190131000
Abstract: A clinical trial support network has data processors which perform patient data attribute classification during clinical trial setup by identifying attributes which are sensitive, the attributes being instantiated as terms in clinical trial records. For each identified attribute a risk value or weighting associated with the attribute is stored. After this initialization, in real time a potential data posting is received, such as from a patient using an online portal or from a doctor managing a clinical trial group. The data processors perform real time privacy analysis for the potential data posting, by using the risk values of attributes for which there are terms in the potential posting, to determine an overall risk level for the potential data posting. Once the analysis is performed the potential posting is transmitted or posted according to the result: blocked, full publication, or partial publication.

  • Publication number: 20190131001
Abstract: Servers of a clinical trial support network have digital data processors which execute an automated tracking and prediction model for patient engagement. The model is linked with an interfacing tool used by doctor managing a group of patients and an interfacing tool used by patients for real time capture of events. The system processes factor values to generate and track in real time a patient engagement index. The system uses the factor values to maintain a taxonomy of factor values. The system is also programmed to determine values of characteristics derived from the factors, such as a characteristic indicating time-based trend of a factor. Another advantageous characteristic is impact of multiple occurrences of a factor.

  • Publication number: 20180352044
Abstract: Improved techniques for controlling delivery (e.g., download) of application programs from a remote application repository to different client computing devices are disclosed. Application programs are often built to operate on computing devices that have certain hardware capabilities. Hence, application programs available for download from a remote application repository might not be suitable execution on all client computing devices that are able to access the remote application repository. The improved techniques for controlling delivery can operate to permit the applications to be received by only those client computing devices that have the required hardware capabilities to properly operate the application programs.

  • Publication number: 20180290011
Abstract: The present invention is a variable grip triceps push down exercise attachment comprising a curved bar to be grabbed by a user and a curved neck-bar, which is rigidly attached to the center point of the curved bar on its upper angled portion from one end and extending upward to attach to a variable resistance system. The curved neck portion has a gentle arcing shape which re-directs the resistance such that the line of force applied by the user is guided towards the user's center of gravity. Therefore, the user does not have to be directly below the cable or in any way directly in the force vector pattern of force of the attachment and the resistance attached.
