  • Publication number: 20050056407
Abstract: Disclosed is a heat exchanger including: a plurality of tubes through which refrigerants flow, the tubes being spaced away from one another; and a fin through which the tubes are perpendicularly inserted, and having a fin collar for supporting the inserted tube, a seat for supporting an outer circumference of a lower end of the fin collar, and three or more peak portions and three or more valley portions that are alternately disposed at an area defined between the tubes to cause air flow to vary at an area defined between the fin collar, heights of at least two peak portions or depths of at least two valley portions being different from each other.

  • Publication number: 20050045316
Abstract: Disclosed is a heat exchanger including a plurality of tubes through which refrigerants flow, the tubes being spaced away from each other, and a plurality of fins spaced away from each other at a predetermined distance. Each of the fins has fin collars through which the tubes are perpendicularly inserted, seat portions each concentrically formed around outer circumferences of the fin collars and provided with laterally-opened front and rear portions, more than two peak portions, and more than two valley portions, the peak and valley portions being alternately disposed to provide airflow variation.

  • Publication number: 20050004402
Abstract: A method of partially oxidizing an alcohol to an aldehyde or ketone comprises contacting a gas containing the alcohol with a solid catalyst containing molybdenum, preferably in a +6 oxidation state, and having a surface area of 10 m2/g or higher, preferably 100 m2/g or higher. The molybdenum is supported on a high surface area carrier. The alcohol is a primary or secondary alcohol and preferably contains from 1 to 6 carbon atoms. In a preferred embodiment, the alcohol is ethanol. NOx emissions from an internal combustion engine can be lowered by combining the product of partial oxidation with the exhaust stream before passing the exhaust mixture through a lean NOx catalyst.

  • Publication number: 20030182665
Abstract: An apparatus and method for managing a cable modem using a Web server are disclosed. The cable modem, which includes the Web server, enables an Internet connection of a user computer by connecting the user computer to a cable television line. The cable modem is enabled to communicate with the user computer on which a Web browser is mounted. If the Web server receives a request for management information associated with an operation of the cable modem from the Web browser, the Web server then transmits the management information to the Web browser in response to the management information request. Further, if the Web server receives a setup request for operation parameters associated with an operation of the cable modem from the Web browser, the Web server then transfers the operation parameter setup request to a controller managing the operation parameters in response to the operation parameter setup request.

  • Patent number: 6153003
Abstract: A simple method of preparing a homogeneous cellulose solution is disclosed, which comprises the steps of (a) preparing fibrillar cellulose powder; (b) injecting a molten liquid tertiary amine oxide solvent into a twin screw extruder; (c) feeding the cellulose powder of step (a) into a section of the twin screw extruder where the molten liquid tertiary amine oxide solvent fed in step (b) produces a well swollen paste with the cellulose powder fed in step (c); (d) dissolving the well swollen cellulose paste in the following melting sections in the twin screw extruder; and (e) stabilizing the solution obtained in step (d) in a storage tank.
