Abstract: An electronic device includes a housing, one or more input/output (I/O) interfaces included in or on the housing, a processor, and a memory, wherein the memory stores a plurality of templates associated with a plurality of tasks, wherein each of the templates includes a plurality of parameters for at least partially completing a respective one of the tasks, and wherein the memory further stores instructions that, when executed, cause the processor to: receive a user input to set up an alarm associated with a task to be performed at a selected time, wherein the input includes a first time parameter associated with the selected time; select one of the plurality of templates; determine a second time parameter of the plurality of parameters of the selected template; determine a time for the alarm; and provide the alarm at the determined time.

Abstract: A mobile terminal and a method for retrieving a phone number using identification names corresponding to stored phone numbers are provided. The method includes: displaying a first letter of identification names in a phone number retrieval mode, wherein each identification name corresponds to a phone number stored in the mobile terminal; selecting one of the displayed first letters; extracting at least one search keyword having the selected first letter as the first letter of the search keyword; and displaying the identification names corresponding to the search keyword. Retrieval of a phone number is thereby simplified, and the retrieval speed of the phone number is improved.

Abstract: A method and module for a mobile terminal that enable A user to freely create an offset clock and reset the time on the offset clock are disclosed. The clock operation method includes: generating a time offset value using a reference time signal from an internal clock and using a time gap value input by a user while at least one offset clock created in advance is in operation on the basis of the reference time signal; creating a new offset clock using the generated time offset value; and displaying the time of the created new offset clock. As a result, the user can operate a plurality of personalized offset clocks, each of which keeps time relative to a reference clock.

The list search method includes displaying list items of a list requested by a user, and placing a cursor on one of the displayed list items in a visually identifiable manner, inputting at least one numeric key during display of the list and moving the cursor by a skip interval to a list item of the list, wherein the skip interval is associated with the at least one input numeric key. In one aspect, the user can move the cursor in a list by a skip interval by inputting a numeric key, which is translated to a skip interval or the numeric value can itself be used as a skip interval.

The method simplifies the storage of a music file in a mobile terminal and also facilitates changing the location of a music file stored in a music file list.
