Abstract: A method and module for a mobile terminal that enable A user to freely create an offset clock and reset the time on the offset clock are disclosed. The clock operation method includes: generating a time offset value using a reference time signal from an internal clock and using a time gap value input by a user while at least one offset clock created in advance is in operation on the basis of the reference time signal; creating a new offset clock using the generated time offset value; and displaying the time of the created new offset clock. As a result, the user can operate a plurality of personalized offset clocks, each of which keeps time relative to a reference clock.

Abstract: A list search method for a mobile terminal is disclosed. The list search method includes displaying list items of a list requested by a user, and placing a cursor on one of the displayed list items in a visually identifiable manner, inputting at least one numeric key during display of the list and moving the cursor by a skip interval to a list item of the list, wherein the skip interval is associated with the at least one input numeric key. In one aspect, the user can move the cursor in a list by a skip interval by inputting a numeric key, which is translated to a skip interval or the numeric value can itself be used as a skip interval.

Abstract: A method for storing a music file in a mobile communication terminal using a number key of the mobile terminal includes: designating a specific music file from at least one music file displayed in a music file playback mode; inputting a number of a music file list in which the designated music file is to be stored, using a corresponding number key; and storing the designated music file in the music file list having the input number. The method simplifies the storage of a music file in a mobile terminal and also facilitates changing the location of a music file stored in a music file list.

Abstract: An image storing system and method for a portable terminal is provided, wherein the image storing method includes identifying, in response to a store request of a photographed still or moving image, a country code of a country in which the portable terminal is currently located, setting a file naming scheme so as to generate default file names containing the identified country code for photographed images to be stored, and storing the requested still or moving image with a default file name generated according to the file naming scheme. The system includes a controller for identifying the current location of the portable terminal, assigning a default file name, which contains the country code associated with the identified location, to the photographed still or moving image, and controlling a memory unit to store the photographed still or moving image with the assigned default file name.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method for managing data in a mobile terminal, which includes storing data generated in the mobile terminal in a data log corresponding to the area in which the data was generated, among a plurality of data logs classified according to areas; and displaying data stored in each data log classified according to the areas.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for displaying data in a wireless terminal are disclosed. The display method includes the steps of attaching image data selected in a message mode; displaying the attached image data in a form of a thumbnail image; and transmitting a message including the thumbnail image. Another method for displaying data in a wireless terminal is disclosed, which includes the steps of: attaching a file selected in an email mode; displaying the attached file in a form of a thumbnail image; and transmitting an email including the thumbnail image. Another method for displaying data in a wireless terminal is disclosed including the steps of displaying a thumbnail image attached to a message when the message is received and displaying original image data of a selected thumbnail image when a predetermined thumbnail image is selected from the displayed thumbnail image.
