  • Patent number: 7674040
Abstract: A reclosable bag having two spaced-apart flexible closures and external finger guide ridges and/or pressure distribution ridges to facilitate their closure. The ridges lie in a region between the double closures and they extend generally parallel to each other and to the closures when the bag is in an empty and flat state. The pressure distribution ridges improve the finger pressure distribution by moving the applied forces closer to the closure profiles. When used in conjunction with external finger guide ridges, the pressure distribution ridges also improve the bearing surface of the external finger guide ridges with the thumb and forefinger of the person closing the bag.

  • Patent number: 6936112
Abstract: Disclosed is a novel process for cleaning and restoring the operating efficiency of organic liquid chemical exchangers in a safe and effective manner and in a very short period of time, without a need to disassemble the equipment and without the need to rinse contaminate from the equipment after cleaning. Used is a formulation of monocyclic saturated terpene mixed with a non-ionic surfactant package specifically suited to oil rinsing. The terpene-based chemical is injected into organically contaminated exchangers using a novel process involving high-pressure steam to form a very effective cleaning vapor.

  • Patent number: 6872263
Abstract: Disclosed is a novel process for interior cleaning and by cleaning, removing noxious gas and/or restoring the operating efficiency of organically contaminated hydrocarbon processing dynamic devices in a safe and effective manner and in a very short period of time, without a need to manually enter an unsafe environment and mechanically remove organic contaminants. Used is a formulation of non-aqueous, monocyclic saturated terpene mixed with a non-ionic surfactant package. The terpene-based chemical is injected into the organically contaminated device using a novel process involving high-pressure steam to form a very effective cleaning vapor. The device is activated during the process. The vapor may be optionally directed against the normal-flow direction of the device.

  • Publication number: 20030131093
Abstract: Systems and methods for generating usage statistics in a distributed information processing environment are implemented. These include, respectively, circuitry and steps for generating usage statistical information that include, respectively circuitry and steps for starting an log file parser on each server of a set of servers in a distributed information processing environment. Usage information is retrieved from a database file generated by the log file parser, and preselected usage statistical information generated from the usage information from the database file.

  • Publication number: 20030101359
Abstract: A system and method for controlling invalid password attempts in a multiple replica computer system environment is presented. A centralized strikeout server receives failed login attempts from the multiple replica servers over a secure sockets layer (SSL) connection. The centralized strikeout server tracks the number of failed login attempts over a configurable login tracking period. If the number of failed login attempts exceeds the number of failed login attempts allowed, the centralized server revokes the password corresponding to the user id which exceeded the number of failed login attempts allowed. Password revocation message are sent to one or more login servers. Cleanup processing removes older failed login attempts that occurred outside the login tracking period. Digital signatures, or certificates, are used to authenticate computer systems to one another.

  • Patent number: 6065012
Abstract: A dynamic summary view is generated by defining an HTML page that links data binding HTML tables and other HTML controls to predetermined data within a storage of data. For each type of data, a parameter is determined which characterizes the predetermined data from the other data within the storage. A control module related to a specific type of data, searches the storage, determines the predetermined data using the parameter and displays the predetermined data via a data binding HTML table within a section of the dynamic summary view. Upon detecting a manipulation request, such as when a user clicks a button of the mouse, the appropriate control module accesses a subset of the program module that created the predetermined data. This is advantageously done without invoking the entire program module. A subset of the program module can be accessed by executing a script to call defined methods of objects within the program module.

  • Patent number: 5961166
Abstract: An interior door handle assembly for locking and releasing a door latch mechanism is connected to the door latch mechanism by a single push/pull operating cable. The latch mechanism has a release lever and a locking lever, the release lever and locking lever being pivotally mounted about axes which are parallel but spaced from one another. The push/pull cable is connected to the locking lever and the locking lever has a formation which, when the latching mechanism is in a latched but unlocked condition will extend into the path of the release lever so that upon movement of the release lever to release the latch mechanism, the formation will be engaged by the release lever to pull the cable. The formation is moved out of the path of the release lever when the locking lever is moved to lock the latch mechanism.
