  • Publication number: 20060100995
Abstract: Semantic Web attributes are transmitted via an electronic message such as an email message. The attributes are extracted from the message by a program agent according to a predetermined plan. The extracted attributes are saved in storage wherein the storage is optionally an annotation store.

  • Publication number: 20060101328
Abstract: A displayed document comprises an annotation widget, the widget associated with an annotation document and a corresponding annotation key in an annotation store. The annotation document associated with a workflow action program. A user with a predetermined privilege selects a widget and is presented with the annotation document. The user performs an annotation task modifying the annotation document and submits the annotation document to the annotation store, the submission triggering the workflow action program to progress the workflow to another step.

  • Publication number: 20060090165
Abstract: An Event Manager receives events requiring action. The events are parsed into event action types which are placed in an Event Queue. Program agents in a pool of agents are dynamicly instantiated and retired from the pool based on the number of queued events by type. Program agents, when available, initiate a search for a work entry on the Event Queue that is of a type that the agent can handle. When an agent finds work, the corresponding Event Queue entry is marked as assigned to the agent and the agent performs the action associated with the work entry.

  • Publication number: 20060075205
Abstract: A method, system and program product for annotating a transient state of a computer displayed application enables annotation of transient applications particularly web based applications. A transient application address (or key) and state information related to an application at a transient state are stored in an annotation store along with an annotation. The annotation is related to the transient application by the application address or key. The application is automatically restored to the transient state when the annotation is requested. Optionally a screen capture of the application at the transient state is also presented.

  • Publication number: 20060065570
Abstract: A merchandise package includes a back panel and a front panel coupled to the back panel. At least one of the back panel and front panel defines a first channel for retaining a plurality of items. A window defined in the front panel communicates with the first channel. An alternative merchandise package includes a back panel, a front panel mounted to the back panel and a partition member. The partition member extends from the front panel to define a plurality of channels between the front and back panels for retaining a plurality of items. A window defined in the front panel communicates with at least one of the channels. The merchandise package may be used to contain a quantity of items, such as battery packages, for sale as a collective unit. Subsequently, the window may be exposed, and the individual items or packages contained therein may be sold individually. Hence, the merchandise package functions as both a bulk package and a retail display.

  • Publication number: 20060031833
Abstract: A software system is provided to allow a computer to install and process web applications according to the invention. Such web applications are written as web pages that have access to the full range of operating system resources, including those not accessible through a web browser. Preferably, a web application is built using three types of languages used for constructing web pages, namely: (a) a visual presentation language; (2) a data modeling language; and (3) a scripting language for embedding logic. The software system preferably comprises a web application manager, an operating system interface module, a scripting language interpreter, and optionally a web browser and/or a data modeling language processor. Various other features such as data caching and security filtering are provided in accordance with such a system.

  • Publication number: 20050210059
Abstract: Methods, systems, and articles of manufacture for managing global annotations made for data elements that may be instantiated (e.g., displayed) by a variety of different type applications are provided. By anchoring the global annotations to the data element, rather than the particular data source containing the data element at the time the data element was annotated, the annotation may be retrieved from any application that instantiates or displays it.

  • Patent number: 6244444
Abstract: A battery package has a thermoformed thermoplastic clam shell container with a lid which snaps closed on a battery containing body. The lid has peripheral skirt portions defining shoulders which face downwardly. A lower segment of a paperboard card is clasped between the lid and the body, with upper edges which engage with the shoulders of the container lid and support the container and batteries. A connecting segment extends from the lower segment and passes through a gap defined between the two shoulders to join a card upper segment having a hang hole which receives a display peg. Tape extends from the body onto the lid to close the package during display. After purchase, the tape is broken, the card is removed and discarded or recycled, and the lid is reclosable for battery storage. The lid may be hinged to the body along a side or along the bottom.

  • Patent number: 5965386
Abstract: Albumin, for example human albumin, is expressed and secreted in yeast which has been mutated to lack the yeast aspartyl protease 3 (Yap3p) or its equivalent, thereby reducing the production of a 45 kD albumin fragment. A further reduction is achieved by additionally deleting the Kex2p function. Alternatively, a modified albumin is prepared which is not susceptible to Yap3p cleavage, for example human albumin which is R410A, K413Q and K414Q.

  • Patent number: 5678842
Abstract: A collapsible cart for transporting a plurality of handled shopping bags and the like. The cart has an elongated frame having upper and lower sections which are pivotally coupled together. The frame is adjustable between a deployed position where the upper and lower frame sections are substantially aligned longitudinally and a collapsed position where the upper and lower frame sections are folded together. A pair of wheels are pivotally coupled to the lower section of the frame which fold together when the frame is collapsed. A support arm for suspending a load is pivotally coupled to the frame upper section and is moveable between a horizontal, load-supporting position and a folded position extending alongside the frame. The shopping bags are suspended from a plurality of hooks mounted on the support arm.
