  • Publication number: 20200249125
Abstract: Methods and systems for validating component integrity in an engine are described. First usage data associated with a period of operation of the engine is obtained at an engine controller. An indication of the first usage data is transmitted from the engine controller to a first presentation device. Second usage data associated with the period of operation of the engine is received at the engine controller from an input device. The first usage data is compared to the second usage data at the engine controller. Based on the comparing, an alert is issued to a second presentation device independent from the first presentation device.

  • Publication number: 20200248634
Abstract: Methods and systems for monitoring component integrity during operation of an engine are provided. Usage data associated with a period of operation of the engine is obtained at an engine controller. The engine controller has assigned thereto a first trust level. A first indication of the usage data is transmitted from the engine controller to a first presentation device forming part of a first communication path, which has assigned thereto a second trust level lower than the first trust level. A second indication of the usage data is transmitted from the engine controller to a second presentation device forming part of a second communication path, which is independent from the first communication path and has assigned thereto the second trust level. The trust level of the first and second communication paths is elevated by having the usage data transmitted through the first and second independent communication paths.

  • Patent number: 10579957
Abstract: A system, a method, and computer readable medium for storing and displaying user-selected returned goods information for a retailer having a plurality of stores and a plurality of vendors. The system, method and computer readable medium includes a computer database of returned goods information for a retailer having a plurality of stores and a plurality of vendors. A user interface receives at least one condition for displaying user-selected returned goods information for one or more of the plurality of stores or one or more of the plurality of vendors. The system, method and computer readable medium determines whether the condition for displaying the returned goods information is satisfied for each of the plurality of stores and each of the plurality of vendors. The system, method and computer readable medium displays returned goods information for which the condition is met for each of the plurality of stores and each of the plurality of vendors.

  • Publication number: 20200056926
Abstract: A system and a method for fault detection for a liquid level sensing device are provided. The liquid level sensing device comprising a plurality of switches arranged to measure variance in a liquid level. A sensing signal comprising a plurality of measurements indicative of the liquid level is received from the liquid level sensing device. Each measurement is obtained in response to one or more of the plurality of switches being in a given position at a given liquid level. It is determined, based on the sensing signal, whether the liquid level changed according to one or more expected change patterns. A fault signal is output in response to determining that the liquid level changed according to an abnormal change pattern.

  • Patent number: 8645232
Abstract: A system, a method, and computer readable medium for threshold billing of returned items. Billing threshold rules are established and stored in a computer memory and are associated with returned items. A returned item is identified and a computer processor determines if a billing threshold rule has been associated with the returned item. If so, the processor assigns the returned item to a container based on a billing threshold rule associated with the returned item. Information indicating the container to which the returned item has been assigned is stored in the computer memory. The processor determines if the billing threshold amount for the returned item has been reached. If so, the processor determines the status of the container to which the returned item has been assigned.

  • Patent number: 8427805
Abstract: An electromagnetic system consists of an electric circuit comprising two solenoids wired in series, one mounted either side and proximate to a toroid. Voltage is applied across the toroid and the solenoids in a specific sequence which alters the inductance behavior of the system, resulting in an inductance gain and no mutual inductance between the toroid and the two solenoids.

  • Patent number: 8304952
Abstract: An electromagnetic motor system with no counter/back electromotive force due to the ability of the system to change from one magnetic state to another magnetic state in a defined sequence. In the first state a kinetic energy component is added to the system's rotor where two permanent magnetic materials, which are affixed to the rotor, are allowed to come into an angular range such that they act in a symmetrical manner on a fixed soft ferromagnetic material. This fixed soft ferromagnetic material also acts as the core of an electromagnetic coil and when the rotor's permanent magnets are at the closest proximity to the soft ferromagnetic core a voltage is applied across the coil, resulting in the soft ferromagnetic coil being saturated in a horizontal manner where previously it was polarized in a vertical manner while under the influence of the rotor's two permanent magnets.

  • Publication number: 20120171204
Abstract: The present invention relates to methods and compositions for the treatment and diagnosis of immune disorders, especially T helper lymphocyte-related disorders, and also for the treatment of mast cell-related processes and disorders, ischemic disorders and injuries, including ischemic renal disorders and injuries. For example, genes which are differentially expressed within and among T helper (TH) cells and TH cell subpopulations, which include, but are not limited to TH0, TH1 and TH2 cell subpopulations are identified. Genes are also identified via the ability of their gene products to interact with gene products involved in the differentiation, maintenance and effector function of such TH cells and TH cell subpopulations. The genes identified can be used diagnostically or as targets for therapeutic intervention. In this regard, the present invention provides methods for the identification and therapeutic use of compounds as treatments of immune disorders, especially TH cell subpopulation-related disorders.
