  • Publication number: 20240372830
Abstract: A large language model (LLM) is trained to classify Uniform Resource Locator (URL) requests using a data that has been labeled with a domain-to-category database of corresponding, suitable categories for web content. This model can then be distilled using a student model trained to reproduce the behavior of the tuned large language model. The resulting student model can be deployed inline as a content filter for, e.g., content-based filtering of web requests from endpoints behind a firewall or other network device. While this disclosure emphasizes filtering of outbound URL's from network endpoints, it will be understood that the techniques described herein may also or instead be used to create inbound content filters using similarly derived student models that have been trained to identify content based on metadata, text content, image content, and so forth.

  • Patent number: 11812198
Abstract: Software executing on a mobile device collects custom metadata for an image taken by a camera of a mobile device. The image with the custom metadata is sent from the software to an external network service. The external network service processes the custom metadata to at least determine a physical location of the image. In an embodiment, the physical location is used to uniquely identify the image and perform an automated transaction on behalf of a user that operates the mobile device.

  • Patent number: 11689888
Abstract: Methods, systems, and non-transitory computer readable media are correction of geographic inconsistency in item properties. A system identifies locations of interest based on a location of a mobile device and acquires item-descriptive and item-property data associated with an item at the location of interest. The system connects to a secure network to identify a corresponding item and retrieve corresponding item-property data associated with the corresponding item from a secure item database server. The system determines a difference between the corresponding item-property data and the item-property data and updates the secure item database server based on the difference.

  • Publication number: 20230019774
Abstract: The oscillating fishing lure is a fishing lure comprising: a body with a longitudinal axis, an uppermost surface, at least one hook, said first hook including a shank and a hook end, said shank being coupled to said body; a blade having an edge proximal to said body, wherein, during retrieval, a majority of said blade is oriented below said uppermost surface of said body; a joining mechanism whereby said blade is moveably coupled to said body, wherein said blade has freedom to move with respect to the roll, pitch and yaw axis only within strict mathematical limits; a line attachment mechanism, through which a fishing line is attached to the lure; and whereby retrieval of the lure causes the blade to oscillate in at least one dimension, and thereby causing the lure to erratically hunt. The oscillating-blade action imparts a natural swimming motion to the lure, emulating prey-species movements.

  • Publication number: 20220295771
Abstract: The fishing lure includes a jig body, a blade, and a pin structure. The jig body includes a longitudinal axis, a connector, and at least one hook including a shank and a hook end, the shank being surrounded by and protruding rearwardly from the jig body. The blade has an edge proximal to the jig body, wherein the blade includes first and second members on the edge proximal to the jig body, each member defining a chamber. The pin structure is coupled to the blade via the first and second members, the pin structure including a midsection between opposing first and second pin ends, wherein the midsection of the pin structure engages the connector of the jig body while the pin structure passes through the first and second members of the blade. Retrieval of the fishing lure causes the blade to oscillate.

  • Patent number: 11297261
Abstract: A special effects system for creating a unique walking character effect or illusion. The character appears to the observer to be a physical character or to have dimensionality rather than being two dimensional. The illusion or effect is achieved by mounting a projector and a thin, vertical, flat screen onto an automated cart or sled. The cart is adapted to roll on a track positioned to run from a backdrop or backwall toward a viewing space in which one or more observers or viewers may be located during system operations. The media (or video file) of the character walking is projected on the projection surface of the screen element with the projector. The sled or cart is triggered to roll forward toward the viewing space as the media is playing so that the projected image appears to be moving and getting closer to the viewer.

  • Patent number: 11135743
Abstract: Processing sized fiber products to recover reinforcing fibers by removing fiber sizing material from the reinforcing fibers. The processing includes first treating the sized fiber product with a normally-liquid first solvent for fiber sizing material followed by removal of the first solvent from the first solid residue including reinforcing fibers. The removal of the first solvent from the continuous reinforcing fibers may include heating the fibers and/or second treating the first solid residue with a normally-gaseous material contacted with the solid residue under conditions of temperature and pressure at which the normally-gaseous material is in a liquid or supercritical fluid form. The processing may be performed in a continuous manner to recover the continuous reinforcing fibers in a continuous form.
