  • Patent number: 10610911
Abstract: Processing reinforcing fiber products to recover reinforcing fibers by removing other material, such fiber sizing material and/or matrix material from the reinforcing fibers. The processing includes cosolvent treating the reinforcing fiber product with a cosolvent composition including a normally-liquid first solvent portion and a normally-gaseous second solvent portion under conditions of temperature and pressure at which the cosolvent composition is in the form of a single fluid phase that is a liquid or a supercritical fluid. The processing may be performed in a continuous manner to recover the continuous reinforcing fibers in a continuous form.

  • Publication number: 20200054915
Abstract: An adjustable exercise apparatus is an apparatus that engages both halves of an antagonist muscle group during the extension and retraction of specific movements and exercises. The apparatus includes a base frame, a first track, a second track, a crossbar, a first resistance-piston system, a second resistance-piston system, a first lockable mount, and a second lockable mount. The base frame stabilizes the upright orientation of both the first track and the second track along the ground. The crossbar reinforces the position and the orientation of the first track and the second track with each other. The first resistance-piston system and the second resistance-piston system provides an adjustable resistance to a variety of movements and exercises throughout use. The first lockable mount and the second lockable mount secures the desired position of the first resistance-piston system and the second resistance-piston system along the first track and the second track, respectively.

  • Publication number: 20200029177
Abstract: Methods, systems, and non-transitory computer readable media are correction of geographic inconsistency in item properties. A system identifies locations of interest based on a location of a mobile device and acquires item-descriptive and item-property data associated with an item at the location of interest. The system connects to a secure network to identify a corresponding item and retrieve corresponding item-property data associated with the corresponding item from a secure item database server. The system determines a difference between the corresponding item-property data and the item-property data and updates the secure item database server based on the difference.

  • Publication number: 20200001701
Abstract: A system for dampening vibrations in a vehicle is provided. The system includes a first heat exchanger core having a first plurality of fins, and a second heat exchanger core having a second plurality of fins. A vibration dampener is connected to the first and second heat exchanger cores. The vibration dampener extends through the first plurality of fins and through the second plurality of fins, while spanning the gap between the first and second heat exchanger cores. To accommodate the vibration dampener passing thorough the fins, the fins may be formed to define an enlarged aperture at a location where the vibration dampener passes through.

  • Publication number: 20190117176
Abstract: For position sensors, e.g., a fiber-based system, that build a shape of an elongated member, such as a catheter, using a sequence of small orientation measurements, a small error in orientation at the proximal end of the sensor will cause large error in position at distal points on the fiber. Exemplary methods and systems are disclosed, which may provide full or partial registration along the length of the sensor to reduce the influence of the measurement error. Additional examples are directed to applying selective filtering at a proximal end of the elongated member to provide a more stable base for distal measurements and thereby reducing the influence of measurement errors.

  • Patent number: 10178717
Abstract: An apparatus includes a lamp-control circuit. The lamp-control circuit is configured to be electrically connectable to an electrical source having an output voltage that forms a periodic wave formation. The lamp-control circuit is also configured to be electrically connectable to a lamp array. This is done in such a way that electrical current, in use, flows from the electrical source to, and through, the lamp array. The lamp array includes lamp segments. The lamp-control circuit is also configured to urge each lamp segment of the lamp array to consume relatively constant power for a portion of a cycle of the output voltage of the electrical source in such a way that said each lamp segment of the lamp array, in use, emits a relatively constant light output for the portion the cycle of the output voltage of the electrical source.

  • Publication number: 20180183787
Abstract: Methods and systems for validating an interaction between a user and a service provider system are disclosed. Electronically-stored credential data for the user are retrieved (100), and a communication link (252, 223, 207) is established (102) between a user device and a service provider system. Via the communication link the retrieved user credential data is transferred (104) from the user device to the provider system, and the transferred user credential data is used (106) to validate that the user can access a service provided by the service provider system. The validation of the interaction, following receipt of the user credential data, may include processing the interaction.

  • Publication number: 20180152641
Abstract: Software executing on a mobile device collects custom metadata for an image taken by a camera of a mobile device. The image with the custom metadata is sent from the software to an external network service. The external network service processes the custom metadata to at least determine a physical location of the image. In an embodiment, the physical location is used to uniquely identify the image and perform an automated transaction on behalf of a user that operates the mobile device.

  • Patent number: 9956865
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a replaceable pin system for an in-vehicle component. The replaceable pin system including a holding member, a pin member. The pin member includes a body, a protruding portion, and a first engaging portion. The holding member includes a base, a retainer, and a second engaging portion. The retainer is spaced away from the base in the protruding direction to define a rotation space together with the base. The two ends are interposed between the retainer and the base when the body is rotated to the second orientation. The second engaging portion is formed in the holding member at a position where the first engaging portion is positioned when the body is rotated to the second orientation, whereby the first engaging portion engages with the second engaging portion when the body is at the second orientation.

  • Publication number: 20180060896
Abstract: Various embodiments herein each include at least one of systems, methods, software, and modules for collateralization of reward or loyalty program liability. Some such embodiments provide mechanisms for identifying program liability that has a low likelihood of being redeemed, such as liability associated with participant accounts that have had no activity, and are therefore considered stale accounts, for a certain period, such as two or more years. Liability associated with such accounts may then be bundled into a pool and the entity operating the program may pay another entity to incur the liability for those accounts, typically for pennies on the dollar of financial value of the rewards involved.

  • Publication number: 20180060897
Abstract: Various embodiments herein relate to data processing, in particular with regard to a rule-based data processing engine. Such a rule-based data processing engine is employed in various embodiments to apply rules to customer data to generate offers of systems and programs, such as credit card and customer loyalty offerings, that achieve desired goals of an offering entity. One embodiment includes identifying at least one program for which an individual qualifies based upon data of the individual in view of respective program qualification criteria. This method further includes determining, for each identified program, at least one variable parameter of the respective program based on a respective parameter rule. This method then transmits, via a network, representations of each of the identified programs with respective determined parameters for presentation within a user interface.
