  • Publication number: 20080287738
Abstract: A motor-driven bending endoscope includes a removal restriction mechanism which restricts removal of a trackball from a trackball mounting portion, and an operation section engaging portion which detachably engages an attachment/detachment portion with an operation section attachment portion at a time of coupling between the operation section attachment portion and the attachment/detachment portion when an operation section unit is attached to the operation section attachment portion. The operation section engaging portion and the removal restriction mechanism are interlockingly driven by an interlock drive mechanism. Thereby, there is provided a motor-driven bending endoscope which can reduce fatigue of the right hand at a time of performing a twisting operation of an insertion section, improve the recognizability of the up-and-down direction at a time of inserting the insertion section, and enhance the operational work efficiency.

  • Publication number: 20070116431
Abstract: An apparatus is provided in which a recording area is effectively utilized even when information-deleted portions and/or information-moved portions are provided on an information recording medium. The apparatus includes a space extent management section which recognizes and manages space extents, an optimization processing section which creates a coupled extent by coupling a information-deleted portion and a space extent in a condition that the above extents are adjacent to each other and optimizes the coupled extent as one space extent to be used for recording, and an extent arrangement processing section which arranges and manages the space extents according to a preset rule.

  • Publication number: 20070109942
Abstract: To reduce influence of errors on the outer periphery side of a multi-layer recording disc, a first shifted middle area is assured at a predetermined position nearer to the inner periphery side than the last position of layer on the outer periphery side of a single-sided, multi-layer recording disc, and a second shifted middle area is assured at the position of layer that opposes the shifted middle area assured on layer. A recording layer extending from layer to layer may be shifted in the first and second shifted middle areas, and an area in which errors relatively readily occur on the outer periphery side of the first and second shifted middle areas may not be used.

  • Publication number: 20070003225
Abstract: To provide an information recording/playback apparatus according to an embodiment of the invention has a function of writing and reading in/from a recording medium with a data structure configured to include a main first management information group and a subsidiary second management information group, a function of checking whether management information described in a recording medium and divided into a smaller number of divisions is the first or second management information group, and holding the information, and a function of using the management information described in the management information group divided into a smaller number of divisions based on the held information, when reading information from a recording medium. Therefore, when a metadata partition is expanded in an optical disc provided with a metadata partition, a decrease in a seek speed is prevented.

  • Publication number: 20060285828
Abstract: To provide a video recorder and video recording method according to an embodiment is setting a management information recording area for writing management information of optional number of files defined based on a data size of a recording image, in a recording medium configured to hold file data, and securing a data recording area for recording optional number of files, corresponding to the set management information recording area. This method prevents a decrease in a seek speed, when recording information (file data) in an optical disc provided with a metadata partition.

  • Publication number: 20060072406
Abstract: A picture recording apparatus which can record a picture on a write-once medium having an element which specifies a first size on a recording area assigned to data saving in edit processing, and an element which subtracts the first size from a remaining amount of recording area in the write-once medium to calculate a second size secured for recording, characterized in that a recording size is managed using the second size as an upper limit of a recordable size, and that an editing area is secured using the first size as a lower limit.

  • Patent number: 6990334
Abstract: A wireless acoustic transmission device used in an acoustic offering service having superior convenience, includes wireless transmitter for transmitting the service request signal to request the desired acoustic signal, a wireless receiver for receiving the transmission signal containing the acoustic signal to be transmitted in response to the service request signal, a demodulator and decoder for restoring the acoustic signal applying the demodulation and/or decoding processing to the receiving signal transmitted from the wireless receiver, and an electro-acoustic transformer for transforming the acoustic signal restored by the demodulator and decoder the radio waves and for outputting. Accordingly, the desired acoustic signal can be easily obtained without having the recording medium on which the acoustic signal is recorded, and the acoustic offering service having superior convenience can be realized.

  • Patent number: 6917752
Abstract: This invention relates to a recording/reproduction system having a function of recording/reproducing video information with a GOP structure in the MPEG2 scheme on/from a disk. In this system, when a cut position designated by the user on the reproduction frame is set within the GOP, start picture data in the latter half of video data using the cut position as the reference position is set to I picture data. That is, when the picture data is of the B type, the CPU controls an encoder/decoder to change the picture data to I picture data. Accordingly, the latter half can be generated as reproducible video data.

  • Patent number: 6662309
Abstract: An information storage medium is designed to assure stable continuous recording without adverse effect, even when many defective areas are present on the information storage medium. To record information onto the information storage medium, a file unit is defined as a first unit. A contiguous data area unit to be treated as a continuous recording area is defined as a second unit. Furthermore, recording is done in the contiguous data area units and a collection of the contiguous data area units is organized into the file unit. In addition, an information recording place is provided in such a manner that the contiguous data area unit is so set that it extends over the recording area of another file already recorded on the information storage medium and a defective area on the information storage medium.
