  • Patent number: 5052530
Abstract: A vibration absorbing mechanism for a compressor in an automotive air conditioning system is disclosed which comprises a mass which includes a first penetration hole; first and second bushings, each of said bushings including an inner cylinder which is provided with a second penetration hole, an outer cylinder and an elastic member which is disposed and compressed between the outer surface of the inner cylinder and the inner surface of the outer cylinder; and a screw bolt. The first and second bushings are disposed at both ends of the mass to align the first penetration hole with the second penetration holes. The screw bolt passes through the first penetration hole and each of the second penetration holes and then is fastened by a nut. According to the above mechanism, vibration which the compressor receives from an engine through a mounting bracket can be reduced. Therefore, durability and silentness of the compressor also can be improved.

  • Patent number: 4993682
Abstract: A mounting mechanism for coupling a compressor to an automobile engine including a mounting bracket, at least one flange projecting from the outer peripheral surface of the compressor and a fastener for fastening each flange to the mounting bracket. The mounting bracket includes a vibration absorbing coupling mechanism for coupling each fastener to the mounting bracket and absorbing vibration generated by the compressor. The vibration absorbing coupling mechanism comprises at least one vibration absorbing unit having its longitudinal axis in substanially parallel alignment with the longitudinal axis of the compressor, while being in substantially perpendicular alignment with the center line of at least one of the fasteners.

  • Patent number: 4988071
Abstract: A mounting mechanism is disclosed, which connects a compressor of an automotive air conditioning system to an automobile engine through a mounting bracket. A bolt-nut mechanism connects the bracket to a flange portion projecting from the outer peripheral surface of the compressor. The bolt penetrates holes formed through the bracket and flange portions and an axial vibration absorbing unit disposed in either one of the holes. The absorbing unit includes an elastic member to absorb the axial vibration of the compressor. Coupling members connect between the mounting bracket and the compressor and are axially movable but not radially movable.

  • Patent number: 4938448
Abstract: A mounting mechanism which directly connects a compressor of an automotive air conditioning system to an automobile engine. A flange portion projects from an outer peripheral surface of the compressor and bolt-nut mechanisms connect the flange portion of the compressor to the automobile engine. The flange portion has at least one first hole having a vibration absorbing coupling mechanism disposed therein. The coupling mechanism includes at least one cylindrical bushing which is fixedly disposed within the first hole and includes an outer cylinder, an inner cylinder and a vibroisolating rubber member which is fixedly disposed between the outer and inner cylinders by adhesion. At least two attaching members having cylindrical portions with holes for receiving a bolt-nut mechanism, are provided with bars which are securedly inserted into the bushing inner cylinder.
