  • Patent number: 5469030
Abstract: A direct current motor drive apparatus generating low levels of heat is described. A pulse width modulation signal, generated by a pulse width modulator corresponding to a torque command signal, is applied to a Hall effect element. The Hall effect element then generates an output corresponding to the number of lines of magnetic force of a field magnet on the moving side. After this output is amplified by an operational amplifier, waveform shaping is performed by first and second comparators. The resulting signals are then amplified by first and second power amplifiers and supplied to excitation coils.Since waveform shaping is performed on the signal applied to each of the power amplifiers mentioned above, the power amplifiers operate in a region of roughly complete switching, thereby suppressing the generation of heat.

  • Patent number: 5411334
Abstract: A rolling guide unit in which the cross-section of a track rail is U-shaped wherein grinding processing of a track provided on the inside surface is facilitated. In addition, the thickness of the overall unit can be decreased by employing a self-traveling unit in which a motor is installed on a slider of a rolling guide unit. Grinding is facilitated by a split rail along one of the side walls of a track rail, and grinding can be performed with the split rail removed. In addition, since the entire outside surface of the side wall of the track rail can be used as a track for a rolling member, even if the track rail is flat, it is able to sufficiently transfer driving force, thereby allowing the thickness of the entire unit to be decreased.

  • Patent number: 5388914
Abstract: A linear motion rolling guide unit, together with allowing the rigidity of the overall unit to be increased in all directions when mounted on a frame, also attains a reduction in the dimension of height from the frame surface to the upper surface of the unit. This linear motion rolling guide unit offers the above advantages as a result of the points of intersection of matching lines of action of the force applied to rolling elements roughly coinciding with a plane that contains the mounting surfaces of a track rail for mounting that track rail to a frame.
