  • Patent number: 6105707
Abstract: A tired roller is provided with a prime mover and a speed change unit of the HST type. The speed change unit includes an HST hydraulic pump of the variable displacement type driven by the prime mover and an HST hydraulic motor driven by pressure oil from the hydraulic pump, and can change a rotational speed of the hydraulic motor by varying a delivery rate of pressure oil from the hydraulic pump. Rotation of the hydraulic motor is therefore transmitted at a lower speed to a drive-axle tire train. A propeller shaft is connected to the hydraulic motor without interposition of any speed reduction mechanism, so that the propeller shaft is rotated at a high speed with a low torque. This has made it possible to form the propeller shaft smaller in diameter and hence to arrange it in a narrow space between tires in the drive-axle tire train.

  • Patent number: 5638677
Abstract: The current operational condition is discriminated as being the vehicle propulsion condition or the performing work condition. When the vehicle propulsion operational condition is discriminated, the maximum engine revolution speed is limited to a first revolution speed and the maximum displacement is limited to a first displacement value. When the performing work condition is discriminated, the maximum engine revolution speed is limited to a second revolution speed equal to or lower than the first revolution speed and the maximum displacement is limited to a second displacement value higher than the first displacement value.

  • Patent number: 5513875
Abstract: The suspension system according to the present invention is provided with a shock absorbing spring interposed between an axle and a chassis frame and a pair of double acting cylinders provided at a fixed distance apart in the lateral direction of the vehicle having tube sides and rod sides pivotally supported by the chassis frame and the axle. A link restrains horizontal displacement in the longitudinal and lateral directions while permitting displacement in the vertical direction between the chassis frame and the axle. The link has one end linked to the chassis frame and the other end linked to the axle. During vehicle propulsion, the double acting cylinders are freed, and during excavation, the double acting cylinders are locked.

  • Patent number: 5477679
Abstract: A prime mover revolution speed control system for a hydraulically propelled vehicle controls the revolution speed of a prime mover to optimize vehicle acceleration in a vehicle propelling mode, and to optimize engine output and economy in a working mode. A vehicle equipped with the control system may include a hydraulic pump for discharging hydraulic fluid, the amount of fluid discharged depending on the revolution speed of the prime mover, a hydraulic motor for vehicle propulsion that is driven by hydraulic fluid discharged from the hydraulic pump, and an actuator for performing work that is also driven by hydraulic fluid discharged from the hydraulic pump. The revolution speed of the prime mover may be controlled according to a depression amount of a revolution speed control pedal. When the control system is in the working mode, the revolution speed of the prime mover is controlled in accordance with revolution speed characteristics suitable for a working operation.

  • Patent number: 5422064
Abstract: This method for forming a measuring diaphragm which measures the volume of a passing gas with high accuracy and has a prolonged service life because the diaphragm moves completely in the same way to both sides of the measuring vessel in which it is fixed. The measuring diaphragm when produced in quantity has an undulating structure of high uniformity and variation in quality of the diaphragm is small.

  • Patent number: 5307631
Abstract: The displacement of a variable displacement hydraulic pump (1) which is driven by a diesel engine (27) is so controlled as to be set to a first target displacement to keep a pump pressure higher than a load pressure by a predetermined target value, or a second target displacement to limit an input torque on the basis of the pump pressure. Provided is a stand-by flow rate control portion (65) which outputs a third target displacement larger than the minimum value of said first target displacement. The displacement of the pump (1) is controlled so as to be set to the third target displacement when the third target displacement is output from the stand-by flow rate control portion (65).
