    Abstract: A backlight assembly includes a receiving container, a plurality of light-emitting modules, a driving unit and a side mold. The receiving container includes a bottom plate and a side part formed on a peripheral edge portion of the bottom plate. Light-emitting modules of the plurality of light-emitting modules are disposed in the receiving container. The light-emitting modules include a light-emitting base board and a plurality of light-emitting diodes (“LEDs”) disposed on a first side of the light-emitting base board. The driving unit is disposed in the receiving container proximate to a lower portion of the peripheral edge portion of the bottom plate. The driving unit is electrically connected to the light-emitting modules to control an operation of the plurality of LEDs. The side mold is disposed on the lower portion of the peripheral edge portion of the bottom plate and covers the driving unit.

The vibration speaker includes a voice coil to generate a magnetic force in response to application of a sound signal from an exterior, a magnet having a predetermined magnetic force to interact with the magnetic force from the voice coil, a basket to receive the magnet, a face plate to deliver upward and downward movement of the voice coil or the magnet to the user's skin, and a rear cover coupled to the face plate to constitute an appearance of the vibration speaker. The face plate is provided with a plate-shaped tensioner providing a predetermined tension for maintaining the face plate in a horizontal state to control upward and downward vibrational movement delivered from the vibration speaker.

    Abstract: In a method of manufacturing a backlight assembly, a light reflective and heat-radiating sheet including a light reflective sheet layer to reflect light and a heat-radiating sheet layer are prepared. The heat-radiating sheet layer includes a coupling layer integrally formed with a surface of the light reflective sheet layer and heat-diffusing particles are dispersed in the coupling layer to diffuse heat provided from the exterior. The light reflective and heat-radiating sheet is disposed so that the coupling layer is adhered to a bottom plate of a receiving container. Thus, impurities may be prevented and/or reduced, and assembling efficiency may be improved.

In one embodiment, the backlight unit includes a plurality of light source blocks each of which includes a substrate having a light source and an electrode portion formed thereon; a connector electrically connecting the light source blocks to each other, coupled to the light source blocks in contact with one side of the connector, and fastening the light source blocks to each other by cross-coupling the light source blocks; and a supporter disposed on the other side of the connector. In this manner, LED blocks can be simultaneously both electrically and mechanically coupled, using a relatively small and simple number of connectors, facilitating reliability and ease of manufacture.

The first supporting member is disposed on the bottom portion to support the diffusing plate, and has a first inclined portion and a second inclined portion. The first and second inclined portions can be inclined to each other, or oriented in any other manner that allows them to reduce the amount of shock forces transmitted from the diffusing plate to the bottom portion. Thus, shock resistance and manufacturability of the backlight assembly may be increased and display quality of the display apparatus may be improved.
