  • Patent number: 12186191
Abstract: An device for treating a native valve includes a sealing element and an anchoring element. The sealing element is made from a braided mesh material. The sealing element is dimensioned to be deployed in an annulus of a native valve of a heart at a position between native valve leaflets to contact the native valve leaflets during ventricular systole to create a seal to prevent regurgitation of blood from the left ventricle to the left atrium. The sealing element is configured to both be radially expanded and radially reduced while at the position between the native valve leaflets. The anchoring element is adapted for deployment in the heart, the anchoring element coupled to the sealing element and configured to support the sealing element at the desired position between native valve leaflets.

  • Publication number: 20240398559
Abstract: An implantable device or implant is configured to be positioned within a native heart valve to allow the native heart valve to form a more effective seal. In some examples, a plurality of sutures is employed to secure frame portions of the implantable device to a connector of the implantable device. Each of the sutures can be passed through one or more eyelets of the frame portions and the connector. In some examples, an implantable device includes an actuation cap having a flexible portion or a biasing element positioned between an end portion of the actuation cap and an anchor portion of the implantable device. • Patent number: 12102310
Abstract: A septal closure and port device for implantation in the atrial septum of a patient's heart includes an expandable frame with a central portion defining a lumen, and first and second opposing end portions. The frame can expand and contract between a compressed, tubular configuration for delivery through the patient's vasculature and an expanded configuration in which the first and second end portions extend radially outwardly from the opposite ends of the central portion. The device can also have a valve member supported on the frame and positioned to block at least the flow of blood from the left atrium to the right atrium through the lumen of the frame. The valve member permits a medical instrument to be inserted through the lumen and into the left atrium, for performing a subsequent medical procedure in the left side of the heart.
