  • Patent number: 8084387
Abstract: The present invention relates to a cobalt/phosphorus-alumina catalyst in which cobalt is supported as an active component on a phosphorus-alumina support wherein phosphorus is supported on alumina surface. With a bimodal pore structure of pores of relatively different pore sizes, the catalyst provides superior heat- and matter-transfer performance and excellent catalytic reactivity. Especially, when Fischer-Tropsch (F-T) reaction is performed using the catalyst, deactivation by the water produced during the F-T reaction is inhibited and, at the same time, the dispersion and reducing property of cobalt and other active component are improved. Therefore, the cobalt/phosphorus-alumina catalyst for F-T reaction in accordance with the present invention provides good carbon monoxide conversion and stable selectivity for liquid hydrocarbons.

  • Patent number: 7961541
Abstract: An apparatus and method for reducing power consumption within dynamic memory devices having internal self-refresh circuitry. The circuits for generating isolator control (ISO), pre-decoded row address (PXID) and/or word enable (WE) signals are configured in response to receipt of self-refresh and refresh counter signals to output different timing and sequencing when in self-refresh mode than when in normal mode of the memory device. Conventionally, ISO signals are controlled from a block selection circuit which also controls bit line equalization (BLEQ) and sense amplifier enable (SAPN). While in conventional circuits the PXID and WE signals are generated in response to the output of the address decoder and thus have a fixed timing in relation to the output of the address decoder. The use of different timing and sequencing can lower power consumption, such as by outputting fewer signal transitions per block during self-refresh.

  • Publication number: 20100203835
Abstract: In wireless devices for transmitting/receiving at least one of broadcasting, communication and controlling, a wireless network protocol transmits repeatedly data structure with a certain period in a unit of the same cycle, and maintains synchronization of the devices in a unit of the same cycle. As a result, a frequency hopping is performed in a unit of a cycle. Here, length of the cycle is set to below 20 msec so that a buffer used for transmitting/receiving a broadcasting signal and a voice/data communication has length of below 20 msec. Cycles form a network cycle. Control frames included in the cycles in the network cycle are differently assigned in accordance with their use, and so the control frames may be used for various controls. A payload frame in the cycle used by a user may be set freely in the range of length of the cycle.

  • Publication number: 20100130349
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process of preparing of a phosphorus-containing phosphorus-alumina support by a sol-gel method and a cobalt/phosphorus-alumina catalyst where cobalt is supported onto the phosphorus-alumina support as an active ingredient. The phosphorus-alumina support is prepared by a sol-gel method and has wide specific surface area with bimodal pore size distribution and high cobalt dispersion, thereby enabling to increase heat and mass transfer, stabilize the structure by modifying the surface property of alumina and decrease the deactivation rate due to the reduced oxidation of cobalt component during the F-T reaction. When Fischer-Tropsch reaction (F-T) is conducted on the catalyst, the catalyst maintains a superior thermal stability, inhibits the deactivation due to water generation during the F-T reaction and also causes relatively high conversion of carbon monoxide and stable selectivity of liquid hydrocarbons.

  • Patent number: 7705625
Abstract: Source transistor configurations are described for reducing leakage and delay within integrated circuits. Virtual power and ground nodes are supported with the use of stacked transistor configurations, such as a two transistor stack between a first virtual supply connection and VSS, and a second virtual supply connection and VDD. Gate drives of these stacked transistors are modulated with different voltage levels in response to the operating power mode of the circuit, for example active mode, active-standby mode, and deep power-down mode. Means for driving these source stacks are described. In one embodiment separate virtual nodes are adapted for different types of circuits, such as buffers, row address strobe, and column address strobe. Other techniques, such as directional placement of the transistors is also described.
