  • Publication number: 20130240532
Abstract: A sealing cover includes a base, a lower lid, and a soft, deformable gasket mounted between outer peripheries of the base and the lower lid. An upper lid includes a positioning hole having an inner periphery with higher and lower positioning grooves, with a lower positioning groove located between two adjacent higher positioning grooves. A positioning ring includes upper and lower positioning protrusions. The upper lid can be pressed and moved downward relative to the lower lid, so that the pressing member presses against the upper positioning protrusions of the positioning ring, causing rotational movement of the positioning ring through an angle and changing the spacing between the base and the lid. When the upper lid is released, the upper positioning protrusions are engaged in higher positioning grooves or the lower positioning grooves so that the sealing cover is in a sealing state or an unsealing state.

  • Patent number: 8151142
Abstract: Apparatus and methods for intercepting and analyzing threads are disclosed. In one embodiment, a thread data recorder is configured to instrument one or more existing functions by modifying computer executable instructions in the functions to intercept threads calling the functions. In one possible implementation, the number of existing functions instrumented can be reduced by instrumenting choke point functions. The instrumented functions can also capture data associated with the threads as the threads execute at the function. This data can be saved to memory and compressed into logs. In one aspect, the data can be saved and/or compressed at a time when processor resources are being used at or below a predetermined level. The captured data can be used to analyze a functioning of a computer system in which the threads were produced.

  • Patent number: 8138391
Abstract: The cauliflower (Brassica oleracea L. var. botrytis) Or gene is a semi-dominant, single-locus mutation. It induces the accumulation of high levels of beta-carotene in various tissues that are normally devoid of carotenoids, turning them orange. Using a map-based cloning strategy, we identified a single candidate gene representing Or and successfully verified its identity by phenotypic complementation in the wild type cauliflower. The Or gene encodes a plastid membrane protein containing the DnaJ zinc figure domain. A likely gain-of-function mutation from a 4.3-kb retrotransposon insertion in the Or allele confers the orange phenotype in the mutant. Southern blot analysis revealed that Or is a single-copy sequence in the cauliflower genome. High level of expression of the Or gene and the protein was found in very young leaves, curds, and flowers at comparable abundance between wild type and the Or mutant.
