  • Publication number: 20240078854
Abstract: The present disclosure relates generally to a vehicle safety system. The vehicle safety system may include operational sensors sensing operational characteristics of a vehicle, environmental sensors sensing environmental characteristics of an environment external to the vehicle, and one or more processors. The operational and environmental sensors may output operational and environmental data based on the operational and environmental characteristics that are sensed by the respective sensors. The processors may examine the operational and environmental data to determine whether the vehicle is in a safe state for an onboard operator of the vehicle to exit the vehicle while avoiding the vehicle rolling away from a stationary state. The processors may examine the operational and environmental data to determine whether the vehicle is not in the safe state and may generate one or more notifications to the operator in response to determining that the vehicle is not in the safe state.

  • Patent number: 11729276
Abstract: There are provided systems and methods for a rapid online variable sourcing infrastructure for decision system. Specifically, endpoints may be injected into domain servers serving as a template for sourcing new data variables. When new variables are involved, a first endpoint is injected for registering variables exposed to the domain server, and a second endpoint may be injected to fetch data values at run time, e.g., during the actual decision computation. In this way, data pipeline latency can be avoided during the sourcing process, as the data variables can be sourced from domain servers at run time.

  • Publication number: 20230045414
Abstract: A system (e.g., a vehicle control system) includes a brake control unit that is configured to be operably deployed onboard a vehicle. The brake control unit has one or more sensor inputs and one or more control outputs. One of the sensor units is configured to receive a speed signal from a speed sensor of the vehicle; the speed signal is indicative of a vehicle speed detected by the speed sensor. One of the control outputs is configured for connection to a brake system of the vehicle. The brake control unit is configured to generate a vehicle control signal to initiate a vehicle brake operation responsive to the speed indicated by the speed signal going above a designated first speed threshold and the speed signal meeting one or more first designated criteria in addition to the first speed threshold.

  • Publication number: 20220407936
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed relating to generating real-time suggested actions for a user based on their user profile attributes. In various embodiments, a server system may select, in real-time, a particular action to suggest to a user based on profile attributes associated with a user account of the user. The server system may then provide a message indicative of this particular action to a user device associated with the user. In some embodiments, the server system may then receive an indication that the user has initiated the particular action. In response to this indication, the server system may update the profile attributes associated with the user account to indicate that the user has initiated the particular action. Using these updated profile attributes, the server system may then select, in real-time, an updated action to suggest to the user that is different from the particular action.

  • Patent number: 11485394
Abstract: A locomotive control system includes a locomotive having a traction motor and sensors. The traction motor provides tractive effort for propelling the locomotive and the sensors measure performance conditions of the locomotive. The system also includes a controller having one or more processors communicatively coupled with the traction motor. The controller selects one or more baseline conditions that designate operational conditions under which the locomotive is to operate, and monitors the performance conditions that are generated by the locomotive during operation of the locomotive according to the operational conditions designated by the one or more baseline conditions. The controller identifies a flashover condition or a plugging condition of the locomotive by comparing the performance conditions that are generated by the locomotive during operation of the locomotive with the one or more baseline conditions.
