  • Patent number: 10680538
Abstract: A system includes a converter operatively connected to an alternating current (AC) power source and a direct current (DC) bus, an inverter operatively connected to a motor and the DC bus, and a controller. The converter includes a first plurality of switching devices in selective communication with each phase of the AC power source and the DC bus. The inverter includes a second plurality of switching devices in selective communication with each phase of the motor and the DC bus. The controller is operable to command dropping of a brake through a passive delay circuit responsive to an emergency stop condition for a load driven by the motor and reduce a voltage on the DC bus by dropping at least one phase of the AC power source and/or using a dynamic braking resistor prior to the brake physically dropping.

  • Publication number: 20200167236
Abstract: Some embodiments may be associated with a cloud computing environment. A device layer may execute a kernel and determine that a write to disk storage is requested by an application executing in the cloud computing environment. A kernel function at the device layer may mark buffers of a page in a page cache that correspond to the requested write as dirty. An event-driven mechanism may send an event to an entry handler in user space, wherein the event has a block number associated with the dirty buffer as a payload. the block numbers received via events may be accumulated in the user space until it is determined that a pre-determined condition associated with the accumulated block numbers is satisfied. At that point, blocks associated with the accumulated block numbers may be saved to a persistent data store as an incremental backup.

  • Publication number: 20200169539
Abstract: A trust chain having client system and a remote system in a secure connection, wherein an intermediary system associated with the network flow path serves as a signing entity to establish an end to end transitive trust. The intermediate system is a corroborative entity in the operations technology realm of the client system. The remote system serves as the host for a plurality of services in the information technology realm. A two way handshake during the initial secure exchange protocol between a local client application and a remote service is extended to a three way handshake that includes a nonce issued by the remote service on the remote system and a digital signature for the nonce issued by a signature service on an associated intermediate system. The nonce signature is verified authoritatively at the remote system based on the signing certificate of the intermediate system for explicit proof of association.

  • Publication number: 20200167335
Abstract: A computerized system maintains referential integrity during data migration and optionally masking. The system allows the user to identify one or more flat file(s) as the data source as well as identify the data destination file(s). The system automatically identifies the referential integrity columns where column names match in different flat files, automatically identifies referential integrity by analyzing related application source code for embedded business rules that indicate referential integrity, or can allow the user to describe the referential integrity pertaining to the data source to establish user-defined referential integrity, which referential integrity definition(s) are stored in a data store (e.g., an XML File) accessible via a configuration engine. The system, through a sequence engine and subsequently an execution engine, uses the stored referential integrity and other information to migrate and optionally masks the data from the data source file(s) into the data destination file(s).

  • Publication number: 20200160254
Abstract: A user interface is presented that allows a user to group tasks. After the tasks are grouped, reassigning one of the assignments from a first resource to a second resource causes one or more subsequent assignments to also be reassigned. In some example embodiments, the reassignment changes the duration of the reassigned tasks. For example, a first resource may be unavailable on Tuesday and assigned tasks on Monday and Wednesday. Reassigning the two tasks to a different resource that is available on Tuesday may cause the tasks to be assigned on Monday and Tuesday, thus taking two calendar days to complete instead of three. Deleting one of the assignments causes one or more subsequent assignments to also be deleted.
