  • Patent number: 8304266
Abstract: A manufacturing method of thin film transistor substrate of a liquid crystal display panel includes following steps. A substrate is provided. Then, a transparent conducting layer and an opaque conducting layer are formed on the substrate. Thereafter, the transparent conducting layer and the opaque conducting layer are patterned by a gray-tone mask to form at least one storage capacitor electrode. Next, a first insulating layer is formed on the storage capacitor electrode. Then, at least one gate electrode is formed on the substrate. Subsequently, at least one gate insulating layer, a patterned semiconductor layer, a source electrode, a drain electrode, and a second insulating layer are formed sequentially on the gate electrode. Moreover, at least one pixel electrode is formed on the first insulating layer and the second insulating layer. A part of the pixel electrode overlaps a part of the storage capacitor electrode to form a storage capacitor.

  • Publication number: 20120025197
Abstract: A thin film transistor substrate of a liquid crystal display panel and manufacturing method thereof are disclosed. The thin film transistor substrate of the liquid crystal display panel includes a substrate, a storage capacitor electrode, a first insulated layer, a gate electrode, a gate insulated layer, a patterned semiconductor layer, a source electrode, a drain electrode, a second insulated layer, and at least one pixel electrode. A part of the storage capacitor electrode overlaps a part of the pixel electrode to form a storage capacitor and the storage capacitor electrode includes a patterned transparent conducting layer and a patterned opaque conducting layer. Moreover, the patterned transparent conducting layer and the patterned opaque conducting layer are defined by a gray-tone mask, and an area of the patterned transparent conducting layer is larger than an area of the patterned opaque conducting layer to improve the aperture ratio.

  • Publication number: 20040174481
Abstract: A structure of liquid crystal display (LCD) and a manufacturing method thereof are disclosed, wherein photoresist is used to form bottom bumps of square frame shape on the thin film transistor (TFT) substrate, and top bumps of H shape are formed on the color filter (CF) substrate. After aligning and combining two substrates, both top and bottom bumps can be stacked together to form overlapped areas. By arranging the top bumps and the bottom bumps, ratio of liquid crystal molecules arranged in different directions between two substrates can be controlled, thereby obtaining a wide uniform view angle.

  • Publication number: 20040133405
Abstract: A method and system for designing a liquid crystal display device is provided. The method and system include the following steps. They are: based upon at least one viewing angle among a plurality of liquid crystal display films, determine a range of a gap between liquid crystal cells of a liquid crystal display device; based upon the panel transmittance and gamut of a plurality of liquid crystal modules, determine at least one value of the gap between liquid crystal cells of the liquid crystal display device; based upon optic characteristics of a plurality of color filter films and color modules, determine a set of optic characteristics for a color filter as well as for the liquid crystal display device; and adjusting values related to the set of optic characteristics of the liquid crystal display device and the color filter. Thereby a set of adjusted values for present as well as future design purposes is produced.
