    Abstract: A method for controlling a dead time of a secondary side of a power converter includes giving a previous first turning-on time and a current first turning-on time corresponding to a primary side of the power converter, generating a first voltage and a second voltage according to the previous first turning-on time and the current first turning-on time, respectively, generating a current first target voltage according to the first voltage, the second voltage, and an ideal voltage corresponding to a previous ideal second turning-on time of the secondary side, and determining a current second turning-on time of the secondary side according to the current first target voltage and a first ramp voltage corresponding to a current ideal second turning-on time of the secondary side. A difference between the current second turning-on time and the current ideal second turning-on time is a current dead time.

    Abstract: A single phase brushless DC motor comprises a Hall effect sensor, a coil assembly and a motor control circuit which generating a driving signal to guide a coil current flowing through the coil assembly. The Hall effect sensor senses the magnetic pole of the rotor to accordingly generate a Hall effect signal. The motor control circuit outputs a current polarity reverse signal according to the voltage at one end of the coil assembly. The time when the current polarity reverse signal is generated corresponds to the polarity reverse time of the coil current. The motor control circuit adjusts the phase of the driving signal according to the polarity reverse time of the Hall effect signal and the time when the current polarity reverse signal is generated to synchronize the phase of the back emf of the single phase brushless DC motor with the phase of the coil current.

    Abstract: By determining a scaling factor for scaling signals according to a signal having low bit error rates, and by adjusting soft data using the scaling factor, when soft data are simulated using the Gaussian Model having obvious errors with respect to reality, impacts of signals having low bit error rates are effectively amplified so that impacts of signals having high bit error rates are effectively reduced on the contrary. As a result, the obvious errors introduced by using the Gaussian Model and a low broadcast quality of digital television signals caused by said obvious errors can be neutralized.
