    Abstract: A quantitative weed monitoring method guides the selection of weed prevention and control measures, and belongs to the field of plant protection. The method performs rapid and quantitative monitoring of weeds in a farmland in different farming modes in the whole growth period by using a four-level visual observation method in the seedling stage, a sampling method in the growth stage, a seven-level visual observation method in the mature stage, and a soil seed bank survey before planting, and implements a targeted weed control policy according to a quantitative index of the weeds, thereby achieving continuous prevention and control of the weeds. Through continuous monitoring, the occurrence rule and dynamic of the weeds can be determined, the weed prevention and control measures are implemented, and the usage frequency and amount of herbicides are reduced, so that the weed occurrence is controlled, and the planting costs and environmental pollution are reduced.

    Abstract: Systems and techniques are disclosed for creating segments of users that include baseline users having specified traits and users that are similar to the baseline users. A segment is created by identifying baseline users based on a segment rule that specifies one or more traits of the users to include. The data about the baseline and other users in the dataset is used to extend the segment. A representation of the segment is determined, for example, by determining average values of numeric traits and frequencies of non-numeric trait values of the baseline users in the segment. The representation of the segment is used to determine the similarity (i.e., similarity scores) of users to the segment and ultimately to determine which of the other users, who are not already included in the segment, should be included in the segment based the similarity of their traits to those of the segment representation.

    Abstract: The present invention is about a method of controlling weeds using the metabolites tenuazonic acid, iso-tenuazonic acid and their salts isolated from the cultures of Alternaria alternata (Fr.) Keissler. The spray of one of these compounds at the rate of 5 to 800 ?g/g can cause the main broad leaf, grassy and sedge weeds to hurt, wilt, even dry to death which exhibits herbicidal activity with broad spectrum, quick killing and efficient effect. The addition of adjuvants improves their herbicidal activity.
