  • Publication number: 20070139052
Abstract: A slant detection device is used for detecting whether the to-be-tested pin of a connector is slanted. The connector has a socket. The to-be-tested pin is disposed in the socket. The detection device includes a detector and a sensor. The detector includes a body, a first protrusion and a second protrusion. The first and second protrusions are protruded from one side of the body for being inserted into the socket. The first and second protrusions are spaced to define a gap. The width of the gap is greater than the width of the to-be-tested pin. If the pin is normal, the to-be-tested pin is inserted into the gap. If the to-be-tested pin is slanted, the to-be-tested pin touches the first or second protrusion to cause a short circuit. • Patent number: 6483137
Abstract: A ferroelectric Pb5Ge3O11 (PGO) thin film is provided with a metal organic vapor deposition (MOCVD) process and RTP (Rapid Thermal Process) annealing techniques. The PGO film is substantially crystallization with c-axis orientation at temperature between 450 and 650° C. The PGO film has an average grain size of about 0.5 microns, with a deviation in grain size uniformity of less than 10%. Good ferroelectric properties are-obtained for a 150 nm thick film with Ir electrodes. The films also show fatigue-free characteristics: no fatigue was observed up to 1×109 switching cycles. The leakage currents increase with increasing applied voltage, and are about 3.6×10−7 A/cm2 at 100 kV/cm. The dielectric constant shows a behavior similar to most ferroelectric materials, with a maximum dielectric constant of about 45. These high quality MOCVD Pb5Ge3O11 films can be used for high density single transistor ferroelectric memory applications because of the homogeneity of the PGO film grain size.

  • Patent number: 5423814
Abstract: A bipolar coagulation device suitable for use in endoscopic surgery is disclosed which reduces the adhesion of tissue to the electrodes and enables the user to clean the electrodes during the procedure without removal from the body. Bipolar electrocautery forceps are located at the distal end of a sheath suitable for use in endoscopic surgery. The tips of the forceps are manipulated using controls located at the control end of the sheath which remains outside the patient's body. The tips of the forceps are made of material having phosphorous in combination with metals of high thermal conductivity, which reduces the adhesion of tissue during cauterization. In addition, the device has a cleaner which acts to free the forceps of any adhering debris. This cleaning can be done inside the patient's body, without the need for any additional instrumentation. In a preferred embodiment, the tips of the bipolar coagulation device can also be pivoted to an angularly disposed position.
