  • Publication number: 20100147165
Abstract: In an industrial machine using a flywheel, in order to prevent increase in size of a driving motor, etc. and very freely control velocity of a load, an output shaft of a reduction gear set is connected to a load driving shaft, an input-shaft-sided gear of the reduction gear set is driven by a first motor, a differential mechanism is connected to the flywheel, the differential mechanism is configured such that the output shaft of the reduction gear set is connected to a carrier, rotational force inputted from the sun gear is transmitted to the flywheel and stored as energy while the stored energy is discharged to the sun gear and the carrier. Further, the sun gear of the differential mechanism is driven by a second motor, energy is stored by accelerating the flywheel using the second motor according to the rotational angle position of the load driving shaft, and then the load driving shaft is driven while compensating insufficient torque of the first motor by discharging the stored energy.

  • Patent number: 7653462
Abstract: A vehicle control unit includes interface software memory means storing an interface software program for connecting an application software program with an OS (operating system) in an internal ROM, a CPU (central processing unit) for performing computation for the application software program and the interface software program, a RAM (erasable memory) storing data such as the result of computation, an I/O unit for extending the control unit, and extending means for communicating memory data through a bus or a LAN. A single-chip micro-computer used in vehicle control permits an increase in input/output points or the addition of functionality, in which case an application software program can continue to be used simply by rewriting the interface software program, without further remanufacturing of the core unit.

  • Patent number: 5956263
Abstract: A multiplication, division and square root extraction apparatus which calculates the solutions to addition, division and square root extraction functions by approximation using iteration has a multiplier, an adder-subtracter and a shifter of prescribed bit width connected to a bus. Iteration is conducted by inputting the output of the multiplier to the adder-subtracter or the shifter and returning the result to the input of the multiplier via the bus. A shifter and an arithmetic and logic unit connected to a second bus connected to the aforesaid bus via a switch have a greater bit width than the prescribed bit width and are used for large scale calculations, thus preventing a reduction in processing speed.

  • Patent number: 5642499
Abstract: In a coprocessor system having a central processing unit (CPU), a floating-point processing unit (FPU) and a memory (RAM), coupled with each other through buses, when the CPU issues a save command to the FPU, the FPU discriminates the attribute, i.e., a long command or a short command, of a current command executed by the FPU upon receipt of the save command and the internal status thereof. In response to the discrimination result, the FPU interrupts the execution of the current command at once to start the execution of the received save command, when the current command is a long command, and the FPU executes the received save command after the completion of execution of the current command, if the current command is a short command. The attribute of a command is determined in advance on the basis of a time necessary for executing the command and a predetermined criterion provided therefor.
