  • Patent number: 5115187
Abstract: A wide dynamic range current source circuit comprising a first current mirror circuit including a first transistor functioning as a first output current path, and a second transistor for receiving a first control voltage and functioning as an input current path for controlling a current flowing in the output current path. The wide dynamic range current source circuit further comprises a second current mirror circuit including a third transistor functioning as a second output current path bypassing the input current path of the first current mirror circuit, and a fourth transistor for receiving a second control voltage different from the first control voltage and controlling a current of the second output current path. The second current mirror circuit controls current flow in the first mirror circuit such that this current flow is larger than a current flowing during a non-linear operation of the first current mirror circuit.

  • Patent number: 5097145
Abstract: A light emitting element drive circuit which has high operation speed, low current consumption and provides an optical output signal with minimum distortion. An inverted input signal is applied to a second transistor which drives a differentiating circuit. The differentiating circuit drives a third transistor which provides a current path for discharging the light emitting element. The light emitting element discharges when the input signal falls. The input of the differentiating circuit and the input of the light emitting element drive circuit are isolated to prevent "back gating" distortion of the optical signal.

  • Patent number: 5073885
Abstract: An optical disc driving apparatus is provided for the access control system with respect to the optical disc, comprising emphasizing circuits which compensate for a decrease in the frequency response of a reproduced signal from an optical head and further comprising peak detection circuits for detecting envelopes of the output signals. The emphasizing circuits and peak detection circuits are not used for processing of the tracking servo sensor signal, therefore the compensation amount need not be accurately controlled. The characteristic of the reproduced signal of the optical disc is effectively utilized, thereby enabling the compensation amount to be used over a wider range from about a proper value to an excessive value. In addition, being able to use the compensation amount over a wider range results in a reduction in the number of separate stages of compensation.

  • Patent number: 4978913
Abstract: Fixed terminals and movable terminals are arranged on both sides of a turn table, which is provided along its circumferential direction with a plurality of holding holes for receiving chip electronic components so that both end portions thereof project from the holding holes. The movable terminals are provided by parts of a printed circuit board or elastically flexible plate members such as plate springs, and they are elastically brought into contact with electrodes which are formed on first end surfaces of the chip electronic components. Due to such elastic contact of the movable terminals, electrodes formed on the other end surfaces of the chip electronic components are pressed into contact with the fixed terminals.
