  • Patent number: 4957468
Abstract: A hydraulic reaction force apparatus of a power steering device includes an input shaft, an output shaft, the input and output shafts being connected with each other to be pivotal through a predetermined angle, reaction force arms connected integrally with the input shaft and projecting radially therefrom, a pair of output shaft guide holes sandwiching each reaction force arm and disposed to oppose each other in a direction perpendicular to the reaction force arms, reaction force plungers slidably disposed in the guide holes, and a reaction force mechanism for biasing the reaction force plungers against the reaction force arms by a reaction force applied to the reaction plungers and related to running conditions. Each reaction force plunger includes a metal cylindrical member having a hollow portion open at a side opposite to that of the reaction force arms and a damping member mounted in the cylindrical member.

  • Patent number: 4759016
Abstract: A multiple access communication system includes a central station and terminal stations. Each terminal station serves a plurality of subscriber stations and exchanges with the central station downstream and upstream time-division multiplexed (TDM) signals over first common path medium. The central station comprises a controller that determines first and second time slots in each of the upstream and downstream TDM signals in response to a call-processing signal to permit a talking connection to be established between the first and second time slots and transmitting a control signal to the terminal station. In the terminal station, TDMA interface circuits are associated respectively with the subscriber stations, the interface circuits being normally coupled to the first common path medium for exchanging the TDM signals with the central station.

  • Patent number: 4577315
Abstract: In a time-division multiple access (TDMA) communication network, a power saving system interleaves a power saving control signal at periodic intervals with a selection signal and information signals and transmits the interleaved signals from a master station to slave stations. A plurality of power cut-off circuits are associated respectively with the slave stations for individually cutting off power supplies to the slave stations for a predetermined period in response to the control signal. A detector is provided for detecting the moment a connection is being established, identifying the slave station establishing the connection and selectively inhibiting the power cut-off circuit associated with the identified station from responding to the control signal, while allowing the remainder of the power cut-off means to respond to the control signal.

  • Patent number: 4490818
Abstract: In a repeater station for use in a repeater station to repeat a sequence of downward time slots and a succession of upward time slots, a detector (40) detects a synchronizing signal included in a particular one of the downward time slots. A timing circuit (41) produces a first timing signal when a first predetermined duration lapses after detection of the synchronizing signal. The first predetermined duration is preferably predictively determined in consideration of a reception time instant of a particular one of the upward time slots that corresponds to the particular downward time slot. Signals included in each upward time slot are memorized in a memory section (60) with reference to the first timing signal. The timing circuit further produces a second timing signal after the first timing signal to transmit the memorized signals to an upward station. The second timing signal is produced in consideration of a deviation with which the upward time slots reach the upward station.

  • Patent number: 4365347
Abstract: A channel selecting system for use in a multi-channel mobile communication system. The received field strength associated with each channel is measured sequentially to select a channel in the highest field strength. Within a measurement time span for each channel, time segments in which the field strength is lower than a predetermined level is totalized. When the total reaches either a reference time length which is less than the measurement time span or expiration of the measurement time span, one channel measurement is switched to another.
