  • Patent number: 5426874
Abstract: In an apparatus for controlling the vertical movement of a scraper blade (18) of a bulldozer, a four-position hydraulic control valve (12), having HOLD, UP, DOWN, and FLOAT positions, maintains the scraper blade in the FLOAT condition without requiring a detent mechanism, even when the three-position operation lever (1, 51) is released with the hydraulic control valve (12) in the FLOAT position. The operation lever (1, 51), having HOLD, UP, and DOWN positions, provides electrical signals to a controller (4) for actuating the hydraulic control valve (12) with pilot pressures provided via solenoid pilot valves (6, 7). A hydraulic cylinder (19), connected to the scraper blade (18), is actuated by hydraulic oil from the hydraulic control valve (12).

  • Patent number: 5408730
Abstract: A draw texturing machine, which is provided with a heater to be set at a temperature higher than a melting point of a yarn to be textured, can be stopped in operation while the yarn is being threaded onto the machine and then re-started. The temperature of the heater is lowered upon stoppage of the machine, the temperature of the heater is detected, and the rotating speeds of rotating members are controlled based on the detected temperature. An effective method is provided by which a draw texturing machine provided with a heater to be set at a temperature higher than a melting point of a yarn to be textured can be stopped and then re-started while the yarn is being threaded.

  • Patent number: 5297649
Abstract: At the time of starting movement as well as at the time when a crawler type tractor, e.g., a bulldozer for performing a dosing operation and a ripping operation is held in a three-point grounding state, an output from an engine (10) is automatically reduced further from a normal cut-off state, whereby an operator is not required to depress a deceleration pedal (13). Consequently, a burden to be borne by him can be reduced substantially.

  • Patent number: 5279980
Abstract: In a reverse staggered MOS transistor, a gate electrode and a signal wiring connected to the gate electrode consist of a wiring base on the substrate side and an overlying wiring part superposed on the wiring base. The wiring base is composed of a conductive material, e.g., tantalum-molybdenum alloy, which has a body-centered cubic lattice structure with its lattice constants the same as or approximately identical to those of .alpha.-tantalum. Being continuously deposited on the wiring base by sputtering, the overlying wiring part also assumes the .alpha.-tantalum form inheriting the lattice structure of the wiring base. In the case of a staggered MOS transistor, source and drain electrodes and respective signal wirings connected to the source and drain electrodes take the similar structure.

  • Patent number: 5216491
Abstract: A semiconductor device constituting a light detection element in which a photoconductive layer is sandwiched between a transparent electrode and a metal electrode, in which the metal electrode has a lamination structure consisted by two different metals, one of the metals on the photoconductive layer side being formed of tantalum (Ta) or tungsten (W), the other of the metals being formed of titanium (Ti). Thereby, silicide is prevented from being formed in the interface to the photoconductive layer, so that the titanium (Ti) can be made to act as a good etching stopper at the time of patterning the photoconductive layer by etching, and since titanium (Ti) which has high electrolytic-corrosion-proof is used as the metal electrode, it is possible to obtain a semiconductor device having high reliability.

  • Patent number: 5133071
Abstract: In a channel control for an information processing system, a service processor (SVP) loads a microprogram of the channel controller at system initialization, and thereafter initiates the microprogram for storing microprograms and configuration information for a plurality of channel units held in the SVP into the specified area of a main storage. Subsequently, the configuration information and microprograms from the main storage are loaded into the channel units under control of the microprogram of the channel controller. Thereby, the microprograms and configuration information are loaded into the channel units by a channel controller equipped with a fast-processing microprocessor and, eventually, a fast loading control and error correction process are accomplished.
