  • Patent number: 6081350
Abstract: An imaging and recording apparatus for electrically recording an optical image of a subject as an image information signal which facilitates memory access from an external device and prevents image information from being changed. Upon manipulation of a recording trigger switch, an image outputted from a camera signal processing circuit at that time is written into a semiconductor memory, then subjected to data compression in a data compression circuit, and stored in a semiconductor memory. It is now assumed that an external device not illustrated is connected to a connector and this external device orders taking in the image of the semiconductor memory. If at this time the semiconductor memory is writing an image, a state detection circuit detects the fact and inhibits the external device from taking in the image. Furthermore, while the external device is taking in the image of the semiconductor memory, the state detection circuit detects this fact.

  • Patent number: 6016956
Abstract: A terminal 2 held by the user with a radio transmitter and receiver 3. Electronic money information is transferred via the radio transmitter and received. By using a portable telephone, it is unnecessary to directly insert an IC card 1 into service supply equipment 17. In addition to the service supply equipment 17, a device 9 for storing electronic money information in a lump is provided. Since the electronic money information is transferred into the device 9 for storing the electronic money information in a lump, it is unnecessary to collect the electronic money information stored in terminals one by one.

  • Patent number: 5991747
Abstract: When the amount of a former loan of the user of an IC card is written to a personal information storage provided in a center and the IC card is inserted into the slot of an electronic purse terminal at the time of a current transaction, the amount of the loan stored in the personal information storage is cleared and this loan is paid. At this time, the balance stored in the sum information storage of the IC card is updated by this payment and is stored as the current balance in the sum information storage. If the balance is more than the charge for a transaction, the transaction is carried and if the balance is less than the charge for the transaction and is short, the transaction is performed by obtaining a new loan. The amount of this loan is stored in the personal information storage in the center. Thus, the suspension of a transaction due to a shortage in the balance carried by the IC card can be avoided by providing a function for a loan in an electronic purse system.

  • Patent number: 5938741
Abstract: When a transmission request reception process controller accepts a request to transmit information, the information is read from a memory in order of addresses generated by an address generator. A transmission information generator adds addresses of the information to the read information, for transmission to the transmission requester. When accepting another request to transmit the same information while the information is being transmitted, the transmission request reception process controller causes the information to be transmitted to the latter transmission requester starting at the current point in the information being transmitted to the former transmission requester. After generating the last address of information, the address generator returns to the top address and again continues generating the addresses of the information. The information read from the memory according to the generated addresses is transmitted from output circuits 14 and 16.

  • Patent number: 5932859
Abstract: An electronic-money collecting system is capable of returning a lost IC card used as an `electronic purse` to the owner of the lost IC card or an institution issuing the lost IC card with a high degree of efficiency without imposing a burden on the lost-IC-card finder or the institution issuing the IC card. When a lost IC card in which money data representing the amount of electronic money stored on the card is found, the found IC card is inserted into a terminal installed at places, such as a banking organization or a public institution. At that time, information read out from the IC card is transmitted to a center by way of a communication line. At the center, a storage unit is searched for information on the legitimate owner of the IC card, such as information for contacting the owner. The owner of the lost IC card is then notified of the implementation of processing to collect the IC card by telephone, through the post or through an electronic mail using a communication means.
