    Abstract: A protective hat is designed to protect the head of an infant and is formed of a shell and a jacket fitted over the shell. The shell has a projecting front brim, two projecting side brims corresponding in location to the ears of an infant, and a number of ventilation holes. The jacket is formed of an inner layer, an outer layer, and a space located between the inner layer and the outer layer for receiving the shell. The jacket is provided with a chin strap and a zipper to facilitate the fitting of the jacket over the shell and the removing of the jacket from the shell.

    Abstract: A trench shield includes a pair of shielding panels for protecting opposite side walls of a trench excavation, two side frames are provided for restively adjustably securing the two shielding panels on the two side frames, and have a plurality of brace members spaced between the two side frames for retaining the two side frames and the two shielding panels, and two rolling devices respectively are mounted on a front bottom portion and a rear bottom portion of the trench shield for carrying the trench shield to be ridable and movable on a pipe under construction in the trench excavation. Upon rolling of the rolling devices on the constructing pipe, the trench shield will be conveniently moved on the pipe without any obstruction.

    Abstract: A locomotion platform is composed of a platform main body, a waist holding device, a signal fetching circuit, and a monitoring system. The platform main body consists of a platform structure body, a perforated platform face plate, position sensors, and balls located over the position sensors. The waist holding device consists of a waist ring for catching the waist of a user, and a fastening member for fastening the waist holding device with the platform structure body. The signal fetching circuit is intended to fetch the signals generated by the position sensors. The monitoring system is intended to receive the output signals of the signal fetching circuit and is provided with a software for computing the displacement generated by the strolling of the user on the platform main body. The results of computation are exhibited on a monitor.
