    Abstract: A parallax barrier includes a first electrode comprising a first sub-electrode and a second sub-electrode. A second electrode is opposed to the first electrode. A plurality of liquid crystal molecules are disposed between the first electrode and the second electrode. A parallax barrier driver provides a voltage difference between the first electrode and the second electrode to form a light-shielding region overlapping with both the first sub-electrode and the second sub-electrode, and forms a transverse electric field between the first sub-electrode and the second sub-electrode. It is noteworthy that the transverse electric field adjusts the rotation angles of the liquid crystal molecules to adjust the width of the light-shielding region, and the parallax barrier's transmittance can thereby be changed.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a fusion protein or peptide, the in vivo half-life of which is increased by maintaining in vivo sustained release, and to a method for increasing in vivo half-life using same. A fusion protein or peptide according to the present invention has excellent in vivo stability by binding a physiologically active protein or physiologically active peptide to an alpha-1 antitrypsin or alpha-1 antitrypsin mutant with one or more amino acids mutated to maintain the in vivo sustained release and to significantly increase the half-life thereof in blood (T1/2) compared to an inherent physiologically active protein or physiologically active peptide. Thus, a fusion protein or peptide according to the present invention can be useful in developing a sustained-release preparation of a protein or peptide drug.

When a rising edge of an output enable pulse is detected, a logic LOW gate driving signal is discharged to GND. When a falling edge of the output enable pulse is detected, the gate driving signal at GND is charged to logic HIGH. When a rising edge of the next output enable pulse is detected, the gate driving signal at logic HIGH is discharged to GND. When a falling edge of the next output enable pulse is detected, the gate driving signal at GND is charged to logic LOW. The image display apparatus is driven by the generated gate driving signals.

    Abstract: A start protection circuit of a gate driver, which is applied in a liquid crystal display, includes a detection circuit and a switch. The detection circuit monitors a gate low voltage to generate a control signal. The switch is electrically connected to the detection circuit and controlled by the control signal, for transmitting a gate high voltage. The detection circuit outputs the gate low voltage first and monitors if the gate low voltage has reached a predetermined level. When the gate low voltage has reached the predetermined level, the detection circuit turns on the switch to output the gate high voltage.

    Abstract: A wireless tire pressure monitor system has multiple pressure sensors and at least one receiving module. The pressure sensors detect tire pressures and transmit wireless signals representing the tire pressure. The at least one receiving module is mounted on a chassis of a vehicle at a geometric center of the pressure sensors and has an annular antenna. The annular antenna receives wireless signals from the pressure sensors equally. Therefore, because distances between the receiving module and the pressure sensors are the same and the annular antenna has good receiving characteristics, the wireless tire pressure monitor system has a high hit ratio for receiving wireless signals.

The voltage detector detects a system voltage of the LCD and outputs a control signal according to the system voltage. The voltage switching device is coupled to the voltage detector for selectively providing a data voltage or the common voltage as a driving voltage of the data driver according to the control signal. The voltage switching device is controlled by the control signal to provide the common voltage to the data driver when the system voltage is less than a reference voltage.

The multi-mode communication system includes first and second switching units, a delta-sigma modulator, an analog-to-digital converter, sequential convolution units and a selection unit. The delta-sigma modulator samples an analog signal, which is inputted through the first switching unit in one mode, into 1-bit digital signal. In another mode, the analog-to-digital converter samples an analog signal, which is inputted through the first switching unit into an n-bit digital signal.
