  • Publication number: 20110058973
Abstract: A motor-driven compressor includes a compression mechanism, an electric motor, a compressor housing, a conductive member, a terminal base, an insulating member, a connection terminal, a wire assembly, a terminal housing, first and second holes formed through the terminal housing and first and second seal members. The conductive member extends from the inside to the outside of the compressor housing and connected electrically to the connection terminal at a terminal connection. The wire assembly has a core wire connecting electrically between the connecting terminal and the electric motor, and an insulator covering the core wire. The terminal housing disposed in the compressor housing covers the terminal connection. The wire assembly has an insulating tube covering the insulator, wherein both ends of the insulating tube are opened for communicating with the inside and the outside of the terminal housing through a clearance formed between the insulating tube and the insulator.

  • Patent number: 7699585
Abstract: In a swash plate type compressor, refrigerant in a discharge pressure region is introduced into a crank chamber through a supply passage while the refrigerant in the crank chamber is drawn out to a suction pressure region through a bleed passage for controlling pressure in the crank chamber, whereby inclination angle of a swash plate is changed. A heat-generating sliding portion is provided in the crank chamber. The supply passage includes a communication port that communicates with the crank chamber and a first throttle portion for throttling the refrigerant. At least parts of the supply passage and the bleed passage are formed in a drive shaft. A part of the bleed passage formed in the drive shaft is located between a part of the supply passage formed in the drive shaft and an outer peripheral surface of the drive shaft.

  • Publication number: 20090010786
Abstract: An electrically-driven compressor including a housing, an electric motor, a compression mechanism, a cover member, a motor drive circuit, and a sealing member is disclosed. The electric motor is accommodated in the housing. The compression mechanism is accommodated in the housing and operated by the electric motor. The cover member is attached to the housing. The housing and the cover member form an accommodation portion including an accommodation space therein. The motor drive circuit is accommodated in the accommodation space and drives the electric motor. The sealing member is arranged between the housing and the cover member to seal the accommodation space. The sealing member includes an elastic seal portion that comes into close contact with the housing and the cover member. A core sustains the shape of the seal portion in conformance with the circumferential edge of the accommodation space.

  • Publication number: 20080141693
Abstract: A motor-driven compressor includes a compression mechanism for compressing a refrigerant gas, an electric motor, an inverter assembly and an inverter chamber. The electric motor drives the compression mechanism. The inverter assembly converts direct-current power into polyphase alternating-current power to supply to the electric motor and controls a rotational speed of the electric motor. A substrate having an electric circuit and an electronic component connected to the substrate are provided in the inverter assembly. The inverter chamber detachably accommodates the inverter assembly. A vibration damping member is arranged in the inverter assembly.

  • Publication number: 20070014674
Abstract: A variable displacement compressor for forming a refrigerant circuit with an external refrigerant circuit includes a housing, a drive shaft, a swash plate, a shaft seal member, a supply passage, a control valve and a gas passage. The housing has a suction chamber, a crank chamber, a discharge chamber and a shaft seal chamber formed therein. The discharge chamber is in communication with the crank chamber through the supply passage. The supply passage has the shaft seal chamber. The discharge chamber is in communication with the external refrigerant circuit through the gas passage. The supply passage is formed differently from the gas passage. A part of the supply passage is located adjacent to the suction chamber and nearer to the suction chamber than the discharge chamber.

  • Publication number: 20060245939
Abstract: A compressor includes a housing, a rotary shaft, a bearing, a seal, a shaft seal chamber, a first passage, a second passage and the fluid passage. The first passage connects a crank chamber to the shaft seal chamber The second passage is formed between a lug plate fixed to the rotary shaft and the housing so as to connect the bearing to the crank chamber. The partition is provided in the shaft seal chamber for dividing the shaft seal chamber into a seal-side chamber and a bearing-side chamber. The first passage is in communication with the seal-side chamber of the shaft seal chamber. The fluid passage for accumulating the lubricating oil and for communicating the first passage and the second passage is formed radially inward of an inner circumferential surface of the shaft seal chamber.
