  • Patent number: 6146206
Abstract: A slippage prevention piece integrally formed onto a main socket unit of a power supply connector socket blocks undesired removal of a fuse from the power supply connector. A locking mechanism is included in the connector socket and connector plug to more reliably hold the power supply connector intact. The locking mechanism further aids in preventing the removal of the fuse from the power supply connector. The fuse is prevented from accidental removal by vibrations or contact with external objects. The result is a power supply connector having a fuse which is securely held in place.

  • Patent number: 6096157
Abstract: A cast coated paper for ink jet recording is prepared by a process including the steps of: forming on a base paper an undercoating layer containing alumina having a bulk density of at most 0.2 g/cm.sup.3 and an adhesive, applying onto the undercoating layer an overcoating liquid containing a resin to form a wet overcoating layer, and pressing the wet overcoating layer against a heated drum having a mirror-finished surface to dry the overcoating layer, thereby forming a cast-coating layer. The resultant cast coated paper shows not only good gloss and ink jet recording performances (inclusive of ink absorptivity and recorded image density), but also good weather-fastness of recorded images.

  • Patent number: 6016982
Abstract: A reel for fishing is capable of mounting a fishing rod in its leading end in the direction in which a fishline is played out. The reel for fishing has a reel body which is provided with a spool on which the fishline is wound up, a handle to be driven to rotate the spool in the fishline-winding-up direction, and a grip portion to be held integrally with the reel body at the time of actual fishing. An opening is formed in the reel body, which opening is capable of smoothly thumbing the spool along the direction of the thumb which is gripping and holding the grip portion.

  • Patent number: 6003801
Abstract: A double-bearing type fishing reel which is improved so that, when the fishing line is let out of the reel, it will not be brought into contact with the protrusions which have uneven surfaces confronting the spool. A cover member whose front and rear end portions are curved is provided radially outwardly of a spool (13) between right and left side frames inside side boards except an upper opening extending from a finger placing member to the fishing line guide (8). The front end portion of the cover member is located near a recess of the fishing-line guide. The surface of the cover member is preferably smooth and is made of fluoro-material.

  • Patent number: 5996919
Abstract: A fishing reel of a double bearing type is provided in which the center of gravity of the reel and handle position are situated nearer to the position of the hand holding the reel to thereby be able to perform the fishline take-up operation of the handle stably. A fishing reel of an embodiment includes a reel main body which includes two left and right side frames. A support plate and a reel side plate are mounted on the outside of the left side frame, while a reel side plate is mounted on the outside of the right side frame. A spool is interposed between the left and right side frames and is fixed to a spool shaft. The spool is structured such that it can be rotated by a handle. A handle shaft is disposed in the rear of the spool shaft on the opposite side to a fishline play-out direction. Between the left and right side frames, a level wind device is disposed in front of the spool on the fishline play-out direction side.

  • Patent number: 5952051
Abstract: A cast coated paper for ink jet recording is constituted to include, in lamination: a base paper, an undercoating layer comprising a pigment and an adhesive, and a cast-coating layer comprising a polymer having a glass transition point of at least 40.degree. C. formed by polymerization of an ethylenically unsaturated monomer. The cast coated paper is preferably controlled to have an air permeability of at most 300 sec/100 cc. The undercoating preferably contains a cationic resin, particularly preferably a copolymer of a polyalkylenepolyamine and dicyandiamide. The cast coated paper thus produced with an excellent ink absorptivity suitable for ink jet recording while retaining a high surface gloss.
