  • Patent number: 6703755
Abstract: It is to provide a brush-equipped motor enabled to be used for a long time without performing operations and without interruption even when the brush wears out. When a rotor is caused to perform a turning operation, cam projections similarly start to perform a turning operation. Then, an abutting part, at which each of the cam projections contacts with a spring piece part of a corresponding one of the first brushes, gradually moves to an end of the first brush. Thus, the spring piece part of each of the first brushes is gradually and elastically deformed in a direction in which brush bodies come away from a commutator. When the turning operation continues still more, an end of each of the second brushes comes off a corresponding one of the cam projections, so that the brush bodies thereof contact with the surface of the commutator.

  • Patent number: 6149320
Abstract: A box-shaped shielding cover is disposed at the surface of a developing solution contained in a developing tank and the bottom wall of the cover ensures that contact between the developing solution and the air is kept to a minimum and that deterioration of the processing solution due to carbon dioxide and evaporation of the water are controlled. Moreover, the close contact between the top portion of the peripheral wall of the shielding cover and the top cover covering the top portion of the PS plate processor cuts off the flow of air over the developing tank (the air flowing from the insertion aperture to the discharge aperture). Accordingly, the airtightness of the seal in the developing section is enhanced, there is minimal deterioration of the developing solution due to carbon dioxide, and the rate of replenishment of the developing solution is reduced.

  • Patent number: 5623456
Abstract: An improved electroluminescent indicator hand which is capable of emitting light from its entire surface area consists of an annular support member mounted on the hand shaft of a timepiece, an electroluminescent indicator hand secured on the support member, and a metal contact for supplying a drive signal to the electroluminescent indicator hand. The electroluminescent indicator hand is formed by sequentially laminating a transparent electrode layer, a luminescent layer, an insulating layer and a rear electrode layer on the rear surface of a light transmissive substrate, which has sufficient rigidity, and has at one end an annular section overlapping the support member. The metal contact has plural conductors resiliently contacting the transparent electrode layer and the rear electrode layer of the electroluminescent hand, and is welded to the support member so as to secure the electroluminescent member therebetween.

  • Patent number: 5480438
Abstract: A metallic implant base is coated with two bioactive ceramic layers. An inner bioactive ceramic layer is coated on the implant base. An outer bioactive ceramic layer is coated on the inner bioactive ceramic layer. The inner bioactive layer is vitrified at a ratio of not less than 50 volume percent, thereby improving the bonding of the inner bioactive layer to the metallic implant base and preventing migration of the metal ions from the metallic implant base. The outer bioactive ceramic layer is vitrified to a ratio of substantially less than 50 volume percent, thereby providing a desired porosity.

  • Patent number: 5176593
Abstract: A speed changing mechanism for use with an electric rotary tool, an electric press-attaching tool, an automatic screw tightening tool or the like, includes planet gears, a planet gear support plate integrally formed with an internal gear and provided with an external gear formed outwardly of the internal gear. The planet gears are rotatably supported by a second planet gear support plate mounted on a driven shaft and formed with a second external gear. The planet gears are engaged with the interanl gear and a sun gear provided on a one-way clutch. A cylindrical member having an internal gear is slidably fitted with at least one of the first and second external gears. The speed changing mechanism can be set to have a ratio of the rapid rotation speed to the slow rotation speed of 2.5/1 or less.
